Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 12 nights at Hotel Hostal and we couldn’t have been happier. First, let’s start with the location. The hotel is just steps from several excellent restaurants and shopping. You’re a few blocks away from old town and a few blocks away from New town and the Jewish Quarter. You’re right around the corner from the river and Saint Agnes convent which is definitely worth a visit. As far as accommodations, the place was immaculate and always so welcoming. Our room was a really nice size. We were on the fourth floor, in Room 43 and actually had a bathtub. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows andthe sheets. The towels and the toiletries are of excellent quality. The place itself has old world charm, but yet with modern amenities. There is an elevator so you don’t have to worry about climbing all the stairs if you don’t want to. On the second floor there’s a beautiful outside patio to sit take in fresh air. The windows work great in the room so we could have fresh air during the day, as well as at night. It was very quiet. We didn’t hear any internal or external noises while sleeping. The breakfast was full of options and I can’t imagine anybody wanting anything more. And finally we can’t rave enough about the staff, they were fantastic! Tom checked us in and had a great sense of humor. He. was a wealth of knowledge for our travels during the day and Sofian,was very helpful and friendly also. Because of their help, guidance and suggestions on where to go, what to see and where to eat we were able to experience Prague in a way we could have only hope for. Thanks to Hotel Haštal our trip was amazing.

Hastal got my highest rating ever. Excellent location to explore prague, central but in a quiet area. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed and soundproof room. Everything met our expectation. Special mention to the free coffee 24/7.

Really charming small hotel. Lush decor of red leather etc. The front staff is VERY helpful with everything. Paid parking nearby. Within walking distance of all sights, but in a quiet area. The only reason I took away a star is because the AC stinks. We had it set on 18C and our room never got below 24c. Same with our daughter’s room. So we had to open the windows and deal with mosquitos. But huge, varied breakfast and 24hr coffee and wine complimentary. I’d stay here again, but maybe in cooler weather.

I had not been to Prague in more than a decade. It remains exquisitely beautiful, but considerably more expensive than my previous trip. I selected the Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town because of its location and the price included breakfast. I was there for eight days and the only quasi-negative comment I have is a usual one: I would've preferred a bigger room! The breakfast was plentiful. The location was ideal. The staff spoke English and could not have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

I ended a 3-week European trip here at the Hotel Haštal in Prague. It’s a beautiful historic place, full of character and history, and it’s close to many Old Town hot spots. Destinations out of the area are easily reached by tram or the underground metro. All of the creature comforts you might want are here: comfortable beds, good showers, a delicious buffet breakfast, and two common areas, one outside and one inside. Coffee, tea, and pastry are available all day, free of charge. But it’s the service that makes Hotel Haštal the best choice. Tom and Sofian, at the front desk, will make sure you have whatever you need. They’re especially good at providing clear directions and trip options, and they’re also entirely welcoming and patient. In short, it’s a beautiful hotel where service and comfort are priorities.

Location is perfect, employees are perfect. I really like it. Breakfast is also fine! There is a coffee and tea machine ı think it is also chance!

An excellent family run hotel - great location to walk to most of the sights in the old town. Staff very friendly, informative and helpful. Rooms very clean and spacious with en-suite facilities, they have a “garden area” at the back of the hotel but too cold when we were there, would be lovely in the summer. The bar is a cocktail bar and only has one beer on offer. Cocktails are specialised and on the top end price wise, staff again very informative. Breakfast is buffet style - plenty of choice for all. Free coffee available all day - coffee out of the machine is very good. There is also free wine available but we did not use. Would I return to this hotel? Yes in a heart beat.
