Novoměstský Hotel

Excellent staff, very friendly. Hotel in a great location, easy walking distance to most major attractions. Room was ok but because we were on the top floor we had a sloping ceiling which was a bit awkward at times especially when trying to use the sockets behind the bedside cabinet. Shower was good, nice to have a separate cubicle that doesn't flood all over the floor. Breakfast was ok, bread, meats, cheese, eggs. Coffee machine ok too. It was 31c when we were there and we were provided with a large fan which was great. No major complaints at all and thanks again to your lovely reception staff. We did try to say hello, please and thank you in Czech and I think they appreciated our feeble efforts.

Total stay 7 days. The room are small. we put 2 big luggage (half-open) at the door way. Breakfast is limited choice but good quality. just every day the same choice. Location wise is okay. walking distance to old town. Vez tower just opp the street. Adult ticket 40 kwr in cash. They only accept CASH. Pre alert to those want to place their glasses on the side table. BEST remove the side table lamp, put in on the floor. The side table lamp shades is very heavy and make the base very unstable. A lightly touch, the table lamp will lost balance. It break my Hoya progessive lens glasses into half. My worst damage.

We arrived late due to our flight being delayed but no problem at all We were greeted and checked in very efficiently We were then taken to our rooms and everything was ensured that we were settled in. Everything was explained and organised very efficiently

Not a good start! Arrived in our room to find a pair of used women’s underwear on the floor. Told reception and the cleaner claimed they were not there when she left the room - not my size I’m afraid!! Hotel full so the only other room offered wasn’t suitable. Rooms do not look like those in the photos. Very tired. Bathroom smells of feaces (not in my friend’s room though so might be better in the rest of the hotel). Not a bad spot for sightseeing though and reasonably priced. Luck of the drawer I suppose which room you get.

Basic but clean, old fashioned, small and welcoming hotel in a good location. Worked well for us as we didn’t want to pay too much and didn’t want anything too luxurious. Welcoming and friendly receptionists (sorry we didn’t get the names), helpful with booking taxi back to the airport. Basic but tasty breakfast; small breakfast room and it got busy on certain mornings but we didn’t mind waiting for a bit. Lovely bar/restaurant attached to the hotel; good food and well priced (much cheaper than restaurants in Old Town). Good location in a quiet side road- about 15 mins walk to Old Town; 15 mins walk to Vltava river; 5 mins to supermarkets etc. Nice, clean, basic room. Was on 5th floor but lift worked well. Shower water temperature could have been hotter for me but my husband liked the temperature as it was. Good small old fashioned and cute hotel, good value and friendly. We liked it. Rooms doesnt have air conditioning which made the stay at +30 degrees very challenging. Breakfast was good with simple choices but the service staff was very loud arranging plates and cups everytime we sat to enjoy breakfast. Felt almost that they were mad that we were there.
