Presque Isle Hotel

I needed an overnight stay while travelling with my music. I hadn't been in the building since Kevin S passed away, and I have to say, the new owners have done an amazing job with modernization and general cosmetic improvements. AK, the manager, was especially attentive to my needs and helpful with any issues or questions I had. I was extremely pleased with the room, spotlessly clean, the bed just right for comfort, and I slept very well through the night. Typically, I don't sleep well the first night in a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a nice breakfast with good coffee, just right to get you on the road. When I need to have an overnight in this area, I will definitely be staying at the Presque Isle Hotel.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the AC worked well. They had a basic breakfast. Unfortunately they did not have a luggage rack and we had to walk up about 10 stairs to our room. Convenient place to stay if you're in the area.

I recently stayed in the Double King Suite at Presque Isle Hotel with my family, which was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and had two large king beds perfect for a restful night. Although the bar and restaurant are being renovated, the hotel is open, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Plus, the location is close to the beach, local shops, and fun outdoor activities. It’s a great choice for a relaxing getaway!

This is the WORST place to stay on Earth! They charge too much, and you get NOTHING—no soap, pillows, heat in the room, ice machine, blow dryer—I mean NOTHING! You can't even shower since the hot water doesn't work, and the tub doesn't drain. The odd part about the absolutely no amenities ordeal is that right before we checked in, the hotel texted us asking if we would like to upgrade our stay with amenities! Would that include soap to wash our hands? The Gym that was closed? Towels? DO NOT STAY HERE! I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE! Sleeping in your car is a better option.

I booked a room here for my traveling husband as there were no other places available in the area due to an event. I was told there was one room left, with this being my 4th motel called and him needing a bed and a shower, I took it. BIG MISTAKE!! The air conditioner did not work and the window would not open, but the worse part is, he did not sleep a wink because he could not lock his door. From the looks of the photos he sent me, which are attached, it looks like the door had been kicked in at some point and never fixed. I don't believe it was even legal for this room to be rented out. He did say the staff was nice. Their website says they are, "Northern Maines premier destination for lodging and hospitality" & they "offer 110 newly appointed, comfortable guest rooms". He travels quite often, almost weekly from Maine to Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, even Michigan and this is, by far,, the WORST place he's stayed....I wonder if it would be too much to ask for a refund?!
