"I've been so busy with work lately, and I really wanted to find a place to relax and unwind, so I decided to go on a solo trip to Dali. After comparing several B&Bs, I settled on this one. It felt like a dream trip back to the south of France. The hotel's white hues are predominantly white, with plenty of greenery inside. My room had a direct ocean view and a small balcony. The weather was perfect, so I sat on the balcony and enjoyed the hotel's thoughtful afternoon tea, which was incredibly relaxing. In the afternoon, I walked from the hotel to Erhai Lake. When I returned late that night, the housekeeper thoughtfully left the door open. The next day, they prepared a hearty breakfast tailored to my taste. Even though I was traveling alone, it gave me a strong sense of belonging. I'd definitely choose this hotel again if I had the chance. 💕"

"My stay at Songyun Cliff Hotel in Lixiangbang completely exceeded my expectations this time! Unlike other hotels where experiences often lack a personalized touch and service can be stiff, the staff here were absolutely on another level. They were consistently warm and proactive throughout my stay, demonstrating exceptional efficiency in both communicating needs and resolving any issues, which made everything incredibly smooth and stress-free. As for the core experience: The breakfast spread was extensive and incredibly delicious. They clearly put a lot of thought into everything, from the freshness of the ingredients to the beautiful presentation. The hotel's overall ambiance was refined and comfortable, with thoughtful design evident in every detail. But what truly blew me away was the view. The panoramic vistas were unobstructed, and the scenery was so incredible that every casual photo I snapped was social media-worthy. Considering the outstanding service, delectable dining, refined environment, and spectacular views, Songyun Cliff Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as Lixiangbang's premier hotel. I'll absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit!"

"The views are spectacular and the location is very good. Food is okay. The most impressive thing for sure is the convenience and helpfulness of the staff members. They are so quick to send someone to make your stay convenient. They arranged airport pickup for free and arrange for local pick up and drop offs within the small little village area. I needed to post several items to other provinces and they quickly offered to assist me. All I needed to do was give them the packages and destination information. They took care of all of the rest so that I didn't need to worry and contact anybody. Really excellent service! 👌🏻"

"The location is close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient Town, which is very friendly for walking around the ancient town! The boss is also very nice. Dali has been a bit cold recently, so he brought us a quilt in advance. The house is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The large projection screen is also very clear. The environment on the first floor is also very good, but the trip was rushed and it was a pity that I didn't have time to stay longer. Looking forward to my next visit to Dali~"

"The hotel arranged a pick-up for us and greeted us at the door very considerately. As soon as we entered the door, we could smell the beautiful floral fragrance. The decoration and layout showed that the owner was a person with great taste. The housekeeper was very considerate and introduced us to delicious and fun places. The restaurants he recommended us to were all delicious and my family was very satisfied. There are fresh fruits to eat every day. It is very comfortable to sit on the balcony in the evening, enjoy the breeze, eat some fruits and drink some tea. The boss is a man who has read thousands of books and traveled thousands of miles, so he can decorate and arrange the house so well. The boss's intentions can also be seen in the details. Will go again next time!"

"I have been to Dali many times. I chose to live in Tacun for the first time. I like this newly opened hotel very much. The quality is very online! ! ! The details can stand a closer look, and it is very comfortable to live. Although it is a new store, there is no decoration at all, which is very important! Butler nice service is thoughtful. The mini bar is simply full of ～ breakfast is full of ”feeding pigs” (joking), there is no problem with dinner, but unfortunately forgot to take it. The scenery is also very good, the S Bay in front of the door is too suitable for strolling ～ I will choose to live here next time I come to Dali."

"While the facilities are of good quality, for a duplex villa costing 4300 RMB per night, the value for money isn't particularly high. The service, especially from the butler, was quite mediocre. I had pre-arranged an airport transfer for 7:30 AM through them. When I then inquired about breakfast hours, they replied it starts at 7:30 AM. I pointed out that I wouldn't be able to have breakfast, to which they simply confirmed 'yes,' offering no further solution. About half an hour later, I had to proactively ask if the hotel provided any convenient breakfast options for guests with early flights. Only then did the butler confirm they did and asked how many servings I needed. It was an entirely 'ask-and-answer' interaction; information was never volunteered, and there was a complete lack of proactive service from the guest's perspective. Despite knowing we were leaving at 7:30 AM and would miss regular breakfast, the butler didn't think to ask if we needed a packed breakfast. To put it mildly, they seemed rather 'unresponsive' or 'obtuse'. Similarly, when I asked about EV charging stations, the reply was merely that there are some nearby, many in the ancient city, with no further details. I never actually met the butler in person. Check-in was handled by a staff member in an engineering uniform who gave a brief room introduction in somewhat broken Mandarin. Despite the language barrier, it was clear he was very earnest and perhaps a little nervous. This sharply contrasted with a previous hotel where, upon asking about charging stations, the butler immediately sent the precise location, even informed me about cheaper charging times, and offered a small gift at check-out. The difference between the two experiences was stark – truly a world apart. I have a couple of suggestions regarding the room design. On the first floor, the living room and bedroom are separated by a wall but connected by two doorless archways, creating an open-plan feel. Both areas have air conditioning vents, but there's only one master control, meaning no zoned climate control. The AC vent in the bedroom blew directly onto the head of the bed, making it impossible to find a comfortable temperature – either too cold or too stuffy – and I nearly caught a cold. Zoned control would be a significant improvement. The electric curtains presented a similar issue. With three sides of floor-to-ceiling glass, there's only a single master switch. If our child needed natural light for reading in the living room while adults wanted to nap in the bedroom (requiring curtains closed), it was impossible to accommodate both needs simultaneously. I recommend having separate controls for the curtains as well. Furthermore, while the irregularly shaped vanity looks stylish, the toiletries organizer provided was completely impractical due to its unsuitable size. In summary, the interior design and layout severely lack practicality and user-friendliness. On a positive note, while the hotel's public areas aren't very spacious, the landscaping and views are quite pleasant. We even spotted squirrels, making it a nice spot for photos."

"Great hotel about 20 mins ride from the busy Dali ancient city. Located in a quiet area right beside the Erhai lakeside bike/walking path. Hotel staff communicated via WeChat and was very fast to respond to all requests. Free pick up from the train station was a great perk. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities. The room view is facing the westwards mountains and not Erhai lake itself, but is still stunning as the back of the hotel overlooks a pond and farming areas. The hotels rooftop is a great place for unique photo opportunities. Hotel doesn't offer much food options besides breakfast (which was very good), but staff recommended several restaurants within walking distance that were good. There was a BBQ restaurant right beside the hotel that we enjoyed. Bike rentals are available for a reasonable price. Overall a pleasant stay!"

"For discerning guests, especially those accustomed to top-tier hotels, this place is a must-book. It offers the scenic charm of a B&B combined with the excellent amenities and 'hardware' of a full-service hotel – the facilities are truly outstanding. Unlike many overpriced B&Bs in this area that charge 3000 RMB during peak season for good views but no substantial amenities – all show and no substance – this place truly delivers. If I were to visit again, even if this stay cost 4000 RMB and other places with comparable views were 2000 RMB, I would still choose this one. This is especially true for those who generally prefer hotels over B&Bs. The renovation materials are high-quality, and every corner is spotless; even germaphobes will feel perfectly comfortable here. The thoughtful details are genuinely present, often in subtle ways: the bedding is incredibly comfortable (and I'm very picky!), the tissues are premium Tempo brand, and the toiletries (Jurlique) are not just high-end but also provided in large, authentic bottles – a refreshing change from many B&Bs that use various fake Bvlgari or Hermes products. The owner is remarkably generous and truly respects their guests, a stark contrast to some B&B owners who aim for a high-end image but subtly convey an attitude of 'you wouldn't understand anyway.' Furthermore, breakfast is served until 11 AM, a standard usually found in platinum-tier resort hotels. The shuttle service uses cars typically reserved for private chauffeur services in big cities, which is a rare and thoughtful touch in Dali. The overall service is excellent, and I will definitely be returning. This is truly a gem for those who appreciate genuine quality."
