"The hotel's location couldn't be more convenient! You can pull up right to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. It's located right at the Northeast Gate of the Old Town (no vehicles are allowed inside, so if you book a hotel far from an exit within the Old Town, you'll have to drag your luggage a long way). Being right at the Northeast Gate makes it incredibly handy! The views from the hotel are absolutely unbeatable. You can see layered rooftops and even the snow-capped mountains! Honestly, there isn't a better vantage point anywhere around."

"The hotel's decor is incredibly stylish, and it's fully equipped with everything you could need. The large sofa in the lobby is super comfortable, and our room even had a tea station for enjoying a cuppa. The breakfast spread was so extensive, I didn't even know what to choose! The laundry room has all the essentials, and the gym is great for a full workout. The staff, especially the ladies, were so polite and gentle. I honestly feel like it was excellent value for money."

"The hotel was spotless, and the complimentary disposable toiletries were of excellent quality. The butler service was incredibly attentive and always quick to respond to our needs. Located near Nanmenkou, the hotel offered incredibly convenient access to transportation. It's not in the bustling heart of the old city, which meant it was pleasantly quiet at night. The only minor drawback was that despite booking for two days, we unfortunately missed breakfast both mornings. One day, we simply overslept and missed it (entirely our fault!). The other day, it was too crowded, and we didn't want to wait, so we walked out for some Jiuge Rice Noodles instead. Overall, though, our stay was quite pleasant. They also offer afternoon tea service, and we stayed in a loft room with a bed on each level. This setup was perfect for us traveling with a child, as it offered convenient, separate sleeping areas."

"This homestay really didn't disappoint me. The decoration style is the type I like. The flowers and plants in the yard and the decoration of the room are very distinctive. Traveling around is also very convenient, the boss is also very good, and any needs will be met as much as possible. Brothers and sisters come to Lijiang to choose his home."

"The courtyard is quiet and beautiful, with a lovely ambiance. It's clear that a lot of care has gone into its upkeep. We stayed for 3 nights, which included a complimentary airport pick-up. Even though we arrived in the middle of the night due to a hailstorm, the driver was incredibly patient. The location is at the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town, making it close to the main attractions and easy to get a taxi. Highly recommended!"

"I am Delightfully Amazed by this renowned famous Banyan Tree Hotel. It is such a Beautifully Constructed Hotel with West Lake like Environment surrounding with Villas giving you a Big Beautiful Chinese style Garden Ambience. I am lucky to get a Free Upgrade to a Villa with Swimming Pools and Jade Dragon Mountain View right in front of Bedroom with a Garden (many thanks to their front office staffs). What impressed me the Most is all their Staffs are so Well Trained on All the Details Focusing on giving you the Best Services that Anyone would ask for. 5 Stars to their Top Management Direction, Management Implementation, All Ground Staffs Dedication to giving World Class Services. Their Restaurant Foods Quality is also very Good and at very Reasonable Pricing for a 5 Stars Restaurant. Do get their Restaurant Breakfast Package which is really Worth it for their Variety and Good Quality Foods. I will highly Recommend this Hotel for anyone that is Visiting Lijiang as even their Location is Perfect at the Middle of the 3 ancient towns so traveling around is within 10-25mins and away from the noisy busy ancient towns. It's my first time spending so much time and efforts to give this honest review because i simply think the Whole Banyan Tree Team deserves it. Impressed, Amazing, Enjoyable, Enchanting, Great Experience, It's a Only Hotel that I will Stay in Lijiang (i cancelled other hotel and extended another 2 more days in Banyan Tree)"

"I plan to go to Lijiang with my little sisters👭🏻 I did a lot of planning before departure. I found that this B&B is recommended by many people. The reputation is also good, so I’m sure🏡 The B&B is less than 3 kilometers away from Lijiang Old Town. The location is very convenient and you can reach the attractions within walking distance🚶🏻 Next to it is Heilongtan Park. Don’t miss the scene of the sun shining on Jinshan Mountain at sunset🌅 The B&B has a large space and the whole house is smart. It is very suitable for young people. It also has a small courtyard and antique decoration. It is classical, elegant and grand⛱️ In the afternoon, you can enjoy tea here with your little sisters 🍵 and enjoy the sunshine. There are various room types in the B&B. The rooms are very clean and the sunlight can shine in directly☀️ The mattress is moderately soft and hard. It feels very relaxing to lie on it after a day out. They also provide breakfast, which is local specialty rice noodles and it feels quite delicious🤤 If you travel to Lijiang, you can consider coming here~🙋🏻"

"The boss is very enthusiastic and nice. He will pick you up outside the ancient city and help you carry your luggage. If you don't know anything, the boss will tell you in detail! You can also have tea and chat downstairs! The room is very clean. With the windows closed, you can't hear the music in the ancient city. It's very comfortable to sleep!"

"I woke up at 5 AM, parched, and stumbled out of bed for a drink. As I looked up, I was completely captivated—the snow-capped mountains outside the window were bathed in the crisp moonlight, their outlines as sharp as a papercut, both serene and mysterious. That scene was more unforgettable than any sunrise. The late-night wind on the balcony had finally died down, and I could hear the faint whisper of the mountain breeze in the distance. I went back to bed, where the warmth in the duvet still lingered, the pure cotton duvet cover soft against my skin. I quickly drifted back to sleep."

"We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!"
