We stayed at Best E Villas Prospect for 2 weeks. The property is situated up a hill about 8 minutes walk from Batts Rock Beach which is small but beautiful. $40 Bajan will hire you 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for the day. There is a large free car park and the expensive La Cabane restaurant is on the beach. There are plenty of other beautiful beaches within 20 minutes of driving. Our favourite was the Folkestone Marine Reserve at Holetown. Easy to park, 2 cafes, brilliant snorkelling and a nice vibe. There are few other tourist facilities within walking distance of the apartment, and a car is definitely beneficial unless you want to walk down to near the beach to catch the frequent buses. We used a car throughout. Locally Pat's store and simple cafe is a short walk away. Pat will cook you a decent meal if you order it in the morning. There is also Da Family Spot, a bar which serves daytime food nearby. We didn't use it. Jordans supermarket is a 10 minute drive towards Holetown and has reasonable prices (they close on Sunday). Wendy's Bar a few hundred yards farther on is great for watching sports including Premier League matches and always has a decent atmosphere. Food there is simple but good and reasonably priced. We stayed in apartment 2 at the Villas. It is simply furnished, clean and functional. If you want luxury go somewhere else. It could probably do with an update, but then it would be more expensive! There were 2 of us, but it would comfortably house 6 with 3 double beds, a shower room, kitchen and lounge with downstairs toilet. The TV works well when you can work it out, there's even Netflix. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with a decent cooker and plenty of crockery and cutlery. The kitchen knives are extremely blunt and need replacing or sharpening. There is also a washing machine and a good sized fridge freezer. Plenty of washing line space to hang your washing outside. Air conditioning works well, although the downstairs one did go off once, then come back on later. There is a small pool at the rear of the property which is shared between the apartments, there was rarely anyone apart from us using it. It is a nice temperature and great for a dip. Sunbeds and a covered patio and barbecue are also available. Joyanne and Margaret run and clean the place from day to day. They are great, and will do as much or as little as you want them to do in your apartment. We had a great fortnight at Best E Villas and I would heartily recommend it.
