"Perfect base of operation for your stay in Piemonte or beyond. A lovely oasis at a mountain top castle overlooking Langhe vineyards. Relax after day trips or simply chill all day by the pool and have lunch and dinner at their divine ristorante. A full breakfast buffet is included on their lovely garden terrace where they also serve afternoon charcuterie and cheese plates. The rooms were recently renovated with all the modern amenities except Nespresso machines and duvets but the lobby bar where they make excellent Cappucinos is always nearby. There they can sell you Fontanafredda wines (the same owners) at convenience store prices. I have nothing but great things to say but do have five suggestions: 1. Leave the AC on even if just a little bit between guests because it was 40C when we arrived (55C in the room) and it took almost 24H for the room to reach 22C. 2. Have duvet covers available in the room if not on the bed because my wife like many people likes to have some weight in her covers. 3. Lower you laundry prices and have a price list in the room to avoid surprises at checkout. 4. Don’t charge for EV charging, it’s free at most hotels around the world. 5. Consider Nespresso machines in the room with coffee mate creamers to reduce demand in the morning in the kitchen and keep guests well cafeeinated. Grazie Mille, we’ll be back for sure!"

"Fantastic quiet location with a view. Really nice and spacy rooms. A nice little pool and pool area for taking the sun and drinking wine. Very friendly and service-minded hosts. In the middle of the wine fields, some distance to the nearest restaurants but you can walk in 20-25 minutes."

"We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful residence in the hills near Alba, in the municipality of Borgomale. The city is a 15-minute drive away. The property is beautiful and quiet, with two floors divided into several sections. The restaurant and breakfast service are separate. The room is cozy and well-appointed. There is no terrace and insect netting on the French doors. The bed and pillows are good. The TV and minibar are average. The bathroom is decent. The towels are decent and haven't been changed for three days, including the shower mat. The bathrobes and pool towels are excellent. The pool is a real highlight of the property. The rooms are quick to access the outdoor area, but it's only a moment's walk and only cools your feet in the winter (unless you want to change in the pool area). The water is spotless and heated. A towel basket is a must. We always returned them to our rooms for three days, but unfortunately, some rude guests leave them on the loungers and even on the floor. Given the cooler weather, a few more loungers or deckchairs inside are in order. The breakfasts could really be improved. Two juices are available, but never orange. The selection of sweets is limited, but especially savory. Hard-boiled eggs are available, but they're cold from the fridge, and if you want a beaten egg, it's an extra €8. The staff in all areas was attentive and courteous. The quality/price ratio is good. With an indoor, heated pool, this place is recommended in all seasons."

"Katia and her team of wonderful staff were absolutely wonderful and their friendliness and accommodation was absolutely perfect. We stayed 3 nights with friends. Everything is well taken care of and Verduno is simply a place you have to visit. Beautiful with lot of nice restaurant in walking distance. I can truly recommend La Speziale and I am sure that we will be back to meet with Katia and her team. Our only regret is that we did not have time to visit their winery but we tested their wine and it was very good. Thank you for taking such a good care of us and we do hope that we will be back soon. Highly recommended."

"We booked the most expensive suite, for two nights. The suite itself was large and very clean, however, the view is of a roof before you look beyond to see some beauty. The food for dinner was outstanding, as was our server! The problem, for us, was the service upon check-in. We had bags and our own car. There was no offer to help with bags, and no explanation about where to park. We were told we could pull the car up and THEN learned from another employee there was underground parking, which was great! Finally, two employees stepped up and brought a requested bottle of wine and were very kind. Soooooo, perhaps on any other day service may have been outstanding. We travel throughout Italy each year, by car, and this place was one of the worst experiences, for the cost."
