We had known Bergi for some time, mainly through its excellent organic produce -- olive oil, amaro and jams -- sold all over Sicily. However, our night there was a bit of a disappointment. The rooms are plain and very clean, but ours was equipped with very cold LED lighting, which is very bad for sleep -- it should be avoided in bedrooms. The evening meal too was not up to standard -- my beef steak, although well cooked, was completely lacking in any beef flavour and the accompanying roast potatoes were under-cooked and soggy. The lamb dish of my friend served in a pastry case had no sauce and was almost inedible. The standard of cooking seemed well below what we expected... although the breakfast was fine. I think this place is resting on its reputation and needs to move on. Carl Gardner, London and part-time Sicilian resident.

I stayed at Bergi for the third time this May, and I think it's one of my favourite places in Sicily. It's quite high up in the hills which makes it fresh in spring and relatively cool in summer. They produce organic honey and I recommend the honey tasting - I had no idea that the honey produced from different flowers could taste so different, and retain some of the qualities of the flower or plant that the pollen has been taken from. The staff are just lovely - the Agriturismo is run by four sisters who have done the most amazing job between them, to maintain and develop the family business. The atmosphere and layout of the whole place is lyrical, full of flowers and running water. There's a charming pool that I could easily spend a day by, just looking at the view over the hills around (although usually when I go to Bergi I'm doing long walks in the Madonie). The hotel restaurant is in a new extension with glass windows looking out over olive trees and the valley beyond. The rooms are clean and comfortable and some of them have balconies looking out over the view. Each time I go to Bergi I'm there for a couple of days and promise myself that I will one day come back, on my own, and spend a whole week there - just to relax and soak up the atmosphere.

We spent a lovely 4 nights at Bergi. What made it a wonderful experience was not just the idyllic setting in the Madonie countryside but more so the lovely family and their staff that run this agriturismo so efficiently and make you feel at home. We couldn't fault anything during our stay. The extensive grounds are pristinely kept, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, the cooking is delicious, the staff very helpful and pleasant. Special mention goes to Giuseppe, the amiable head waiter at the restaurant - a wonderful man with the common touch who treats you like family. Make sure to order the special fettuccine cacio e pepe when you're there and enjoy the experience of Giuseppe lovingly preparing it at your table and serving it to you whilst describing in detail all the delicious ingredients that go into it - he has made it into a veritable art form which he performs with passion and the result is truly delicious! A special mention also for Pasquale, the proud owner, head of family, father and grandfather, who has built not just a wonderful azienda but also a lovely family who run this place marvellously. It was an honour talking to this very humble, wise, respectful man who is always there at dinner time savouring the atmosphere as his family and staff look after all the guests so well. We will certainly be back to this magical place!

Very Helpful staff, clean comfortable spacious rooms, beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It was so lovely to wake up to such stunning scenery in the morning. Must travel by own car as destination is on the outskirts of the town. Breakfast was ok but I expected a more genuine palate during dinner. One is spoilt for choice for home made items to choose from to take home with. Would gladly return.

Family of 3 in room 24 (Mandorlo) August 2022. The location of this agriturismo is stunning with a beautiful panorama of the valley. The accommodation and communal areas like the pool are in keeping with the landscape, immaculate and beautifully planted and landscaped. Our room was very spacious, modern (seemed new) and the AC was excellent. Small private terrace with furniture too. The staff at Bergi were without fail exceptional and always prepared to help with the smallest request. They were very welcoming of children and the owner gave the kids lettuce to feed the tortoise and another staff member dried off the entire playground after a downpour so the kids could use it. Drinks very good value and the food was excellently prepared and fresh. Allergies (coeliac) are very well catered for. I would return here again the next time I’m in Sicily without a moment’s hesitation.

I organised a nature tour in May for a group of English people and we stayed at Agriturismo Bergi for two nights. Everyone was bowled over by the well-kept and cared for feel of the place, the lovely gardens that you could wander around in and where you could easily find a quiet spot for reading, the swimming pool - which was a joy under the hot sun and big enough to swim lengths in, the delicious and copious breakfasts, and the lovely views of groves and mountains. The staff could not have been more helpful in the run up to the tour, and were very solicitous and charming once we arrived. One of the women cleaning the rooms even agreed to give a small party a taxi ride into town! We did a honey tasting on the first evening which was well presented and kept the whole group entertained - needless to say the honey was delicious and each type surprisingly different. I will be going back to Bergi whether I organise another tour or not - it's the perfect place for R&R and I could imagine basing myself there for a week.

Siamo stati lì in occasione dell’Ypsigrock. La colazione è ricca, fatta con i loro prodotti, uova delle galline, ricotta fresca, pomodorini, e le famose marmellate da loro prodotte. Ristorante davvero ottimo. Costoso, ma merita.
