The hotel is located near the centre and is located in a date but renovated house. The room is clean enough, the refrigerator bar is empty, the only possibility a small boiler with two bags of tea and two flat-stop coffee, for water you take the rubinette. The small bathroom is also a shower. I was in the room that was taking on the road and early at about 5/6 in the morning. I was wake up from the overwhelming noise of the vagons to collect the waste that waste waste that waste. The very formal and cold welcome at the arrival. There are few explanations about the city and few indications of where to go to refocus. No breakfast included in the price and no indications of agreed premises. Vote quality piece 1 to 10 = 4 only for the position.

Hotel Sovestro

Having waited since before lockdown to experience Tuscany, we were not disappointed with our chosen hotel. Hotel Sovestro is a hidden gem and one we can't wait to return to. We had a magical 10 days. Even before we arrived we knew we had made a good choice as response to emails was prompt and made us feel really looked after. On arrival and throughout our holiday, every member of staff was extremely friendly and eager to please; nothing was too much of a problem and we were always greeted with a warm 'Buongiorno!' What we loved: ...the hotel's calm and relaxing atmosphere. There is a gentle hum of busyness throughout the day with quiet chatter (in lots of different languages) and the *****ing of glasses - but nothing to disturb our peace. ...the hotel's facilities, they are spot-on. The two pools have different features that give you the impression that you are in two different hotels. The poolside bar/snacks service was perfect and always delivered with a smile. The secure car park is large so we never struggled to park the car. The free shuttle bus was great - with 5 runs a day, (really helpful when faced with a hill in the heat!) ... Ristorante da Pode. We ate in the restaurant twice and were so impressed with our meals - all home-cooked Tuscan food that was perfectly presented and - again - served with a smile. We particularly loved the 'sheep's cheese pudding' and the tomato bruschetta. I think we could easily eaten there every night if we hadn't wanted to also eat out in neighbouring towns. A wonderful touch came on our 25th Wedding Anniversary, when the hotel staff gave us a treat with our meal. A lovely surprise. ...our room, it was a triple with patio, (me, my husband and our 16 year old). It was plenty big enough as the patio gave us extra space. The beds were so comfy, with crisp white linen and perfect pillows. The air-conditioning was a dream as temperatures reached 34 degrees outside. We hadn't expected a fridge and safe but both were welcome additions! ...the hotel's breakfast! What can we say! All carefully prepared with a wide variety of options from scrambled egg to hams & cheeses, from fruit and muesli to freshly baked pasties and cakes. Not forgetting the freshly squeezed orange juice (oh how we are missing it!) and coffee that hit the spot. It was a highlight of our day to sit on the sunny terrace in the morning, planning our trips whilst filling our tummies. Just perfect. ...the hotel is immaculately kept. All areas of the hotel are spotless without any signs of wear and tear. The Failli family and their team obviously work very hard to maintain high standards for their guests. ... the hotel's location. Wow. San Gimignano is now a firm favourite, with its tall towers and rustic squares. Unforgettable. Climb the Torre Grossa - what a view! There's plenty of parking around the edges of the town but getting there before 10.30am makes this easier - it takes 5 mins to drive. The town is linked to the hotel by a gravel farm tra

What an incredible gem this place is. If you can get a room with a view do it !!! It’s in the middle of everything yet it’s private enough to make you feel you’re in the middle of nowhere. You must try the award winning gelato place! The restaurants are amazing the the exploring is great. There’s a park on top by the tower. Amazing picture spot.

Fantastic property with perfect location. Easy parking access and easy to get your luggage to this property. Hostess was great and spoke excellent English. We stayed in an upgraded room that had its own small kitchen and refrigerator. Parking was the key. It can be crazy in these small hill towns in Italy but if you park in P3 as directed, you get a ticket and park. (You don’t pay until you leave. You put tix in machine and it tells you the price. You can pay cash or credit card. 15 euros for first day, 13 for second day and 10 euros for 3rd day and beyond.). Walk across street and take elevator up to the walled city. Roll your bags easily in the paved streets to the property. There are stairs inside to reach your room but the hostess insisted on carrying our bag. Room very clean. Great shower. Slippers. Nice towels. AC worked great. Quiet place. Close to everything. And an extra bonus….it is a 5 min walk from a self service laundry where the detergent, softener and disinfectant are included and automatically dispensed into the washing machine. There are English instructions for use and payment.

A small but excellent hotel only a few minutes from front gate of town. Friendly staff, good rooms and a pleasant stay. Nice and quiet with some nice views. Elevator for room access upstairs. A group of 5 of us all enjoyed the hotel and it’s service and amenities.
