Absolutely great place to stay. The hospitality is above and beyond what most big hotels do. The rooms are very nice with comfortable bed, amazing shower and a nice kitchen. The easy and secure entry with just a security code is great to not worry about losing a key. John was a great host and I highly recommend getting the delicious rooftop breakfast. Stayed at Torre Mar with family during our 3 night stay at Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos. We booked the Premium Suite w/ 2 bedrooms and a balcony w/ocean view. The suite was perfect for a family of four. Besides 2 clean bedrooms with comfortable beds, and a clean bathroom, we had a living room area and kitchen that was great for hanging out with family during our down time. The balcony also provides an excellent view of Puerto Ayora. An overall comfortable and restful stay as Torre Mar is located in a more quiet part of town but still within walking distance to the main ports.

We had an EXCELLENT stay at Torre Mar. Our apartment was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable! The courtyard area was spacious and so pretty at night with the string lights. We loved sitting out there in the morning and night each day. We had a delicious breakfast up on the balcony! Do not miss ordering the breakfast add on! One of the most important and special parts of our stay? It was the host, John. He is an incredibly helpful and genuinely caring person. He went far over and beyond any expectation helping to make our trip to the Galapagos the experience we dreamed of. We are already looking forward to going back again, and we will stay at Torre Mar and look to John’s guidance for the best experiences also. He was a treasure of connections and guidance. This is a small convenient, comfortable and very welcoming place to base a Galapagos land tour trip from. Our host john took care of us, down to the little details like when I needed a nail clipper boom there we got it! Food was delicious. Cleaning and Service was wonderful and it was a great place to stay. We felt welcomed into the Local vibe, with lots of tips on what to do and see — and helpful input on decisions we were making to make the most of this extraordinary trip.

For a recent business trip, this hotel was a great option. I stayed in their private Studio for fifteen days. The staff, Fabiola in particular, was incredibly attentive, taking care of all the small details so I could focus entirely on my work. The accommodating breakfast service offered by John, the owner, was a particular highlight making sure I started each day off right and on time. I would highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler looking for a seamless and productive stay as well as for anyone visiting the Galápagos Islands for leisure.

From the moment we arrived, this place felt like home. The location is unbeatable - close to everything you’d want. John is the kind of host who makes you feel like a welcomed guest, not just a booking. Attentive, warm, and genuinely happy to help, and his dog Panda was an absolute bonus. Honestly, Panda alone earns a star. Breakfast was delicious. Fresh, thoughtful, and exactly what you want to start your morning. Not the sad continental spread you brace yourself for - real food, made with care. The room was spotless. Clean in the way that tells you someone actually takes pride in the space, not just checks a box. We’ll be back. Highly recommend.
