Hotel Villa Escalesia Galapagos

We have travel to Santa Cruz, Galapagos for our dear friend's wedding. We stay at the boutique hotel Villa Escalesia. It was amazing place, very exclusive, only 6 rooms. Beautifully decorated, stunning water view. Our room was very specious, very comfortable king bed , large shower , seating area , and had a big wrapped around balcony with private jet tub and hammock. every morning we were served fresh , delicious breakfast. All Villa's staff were very friendly, and accommodating, especially Juan Pablo ! He made our stay more enjoyable and vent beyond his duties to accommodate breakfast for our friends during our visit. If we ever back to Galapagos , I will only stay at the Villa Escalesia !

Stayed in the "Honeymoon Suite" direct ocean view, balcony and private spa. Kids stayed in triple room- its across the courtyard, no direct ocean view, but very spacious. Our room was up two flights of stairs, so if it matters to you, check to see which floor the room is on before you book. In short, Villa Escalesia would be my first stop again- no hesitation. Location is fantastic, right in town, right on water, pool and hot tub overlooking lava heron munching on sally-light foot crabs. Short walk to Darwin center, loads of restaurants right out the door. It doesn't have a lot of rooms, but the inside feels spacious and the lobby, pool, bar area is open--so it doesn't feel cramped. Staff was outstanding. We had the luck of being there during a tsunami warning and Juan Pablo and his staff were proactive, and handled it all very well (it all ended up being a big nothing, but I appreciated the better safe than sorry approach the staff took). Delicious breakfast and overall outstanding experience. We booked directly with the hotel, and they also arranged for someone to meet us at the Baltra airport and assist with transportation into town. Rooms were ready even though we arrived before check-in.When we left behind a valuable personal item, Juan Pablo arranged for someone to bring it to us at the airport--it made it before we had to board.

This is just a wonderful hotel in a great location. We found the staff to be extremely welcoming and helpful. We actually stayed there on two different occasions while touring the islands. There's a lounge area right on the water. The main street with a lot of restaurants is just a few steps away.

Great hotel in Santa Cruz - Galapagos which we can highly recommend. -The hotel was very clean. We had the biggest room, a Suite Deluxe (room name: "Isabela"), and had a nice view to the sea from our balcony which was big. There was also a whirlpool . The personal very nicely explained how the the whirlpool works. However, we could also tell them when we planned to go to the whirlpool in advance and they already prepared it to have it ready when we get to the room. The whirlpool was very clean. -The hotel is directly located at the sea and centrally. Going out from the hotel to the street you have a lot of delicious restaurants. As usual at Santa Cruz, you have to walk to the beaches since the hotels do not have direct access to beaches. However, the closed, small, beach is only approx. 5 to 10 min by walk. -The pool at the hotel is very clean and there is a bar. Furthermore, since the hotel has not many rooms, the pool is not crowded and thus is great for relaxing. -Once, while eating breakfast outside, a sea lion was sleeping in the sun at the hotel area. The sea lion came by himself from the sea. This was so nice and cute. -What we would especially like to point out is the personal. At first day, the hotel manager welcomed us and explained us everything. I had once a strong sunburn (I am a bit sensitive to the sun). So, I called 02.00 am in the morning the hotel manager and he immediately came and organised a doctor. I really appreciated it and he was always very polite. Generally, all person at the hotel was polite. -If we go to Canta Cruz again, we will definitely going back to this hotel.
