Blu Galapagos Sustainable Waterfront Lodge

Room was spotless & well kept. The restaurant staff & housekeeping/groundskeeping staff were lovely people and so kind to us. We loved being so close to town, being able to use the bikes and paddle boards at the hotel, loved the little vibe of the property itself -- and that the iguanas, lizards and sea lions were usually hanging around on the dock made for endless entertainment. We had the best stay on Santa Cruz. Thanks for everything, we hope to be back soon.

I was very pleased with Blu Galapagos. The rooms were very clean, great view, very helpful staff. My only recommendation would be to not use the tour company in the hotel. I booked a tour after being very specific in what I wanted to see. I was assured it was possible but once I arrived the tour guide explained there was not enough time within my limited time to see what I came for. Very disappointed. Was not offered any refund or other compensation. The tour was not inexpensive and feel I was completely lied to and intentionally misled.

I stayed in the Wolf suite- BEST view on the island! It was dreamy… the restaurant smells were great and made me hungry… the restaurant itself,(not associated with the hotel) meh. The staff was friendly, but they want to make money off of you- so save your money and go into the town and book your own activities. You’ll save a ton of money. But I liked this place. Very accommodating. It was a little noisy- lots of birds in the rafters and lizards coming in and out… but I actually enjoyed them. I had ample hot water - the best shower! Definitely a suite for lovers although I didn’t have one with me- it left me wishing I did.

If you stay here make sure you get a receipt when you pay your room tab. When I got home I received a bill for what I paid for already. I was told everything was good when I checked out. A lady the day before also had trouble with her room tab.

Not recommended We booked a room in the corner which had a great view .Upon checkin we were told that we were allowed 3piece of laundry per person per room .We ‘ve sent 12 piece of laundry twice during our 3 night stay .We were told we owed $18 for laundry .We felt that the hotel should communicate to guests better or posted a sign instead of giving wrong info which isn’t a good business practice .Bed was lumpy.The front service was limited ,we went there four times during our stay without answers to our questions due to language barrier or nobody to talk to

We had a great stay at Blu Galapagos. Loved the location and our room was perfect - Great view, well maintained and had a king bed. Even if the description says queen bed and the picture looks like a king, you can trust the picture. Morning breakfast with iguanas and seals, and all day Galapagos coffee availability made this stay special.
