Hostal Casa Cascada

Casa Cascada is very clean, comfortable and pretty. The location is great too - an easy 10-minute walk to the port and tourist area, or a $2 taxi ride. There are also lots of great local restaurants that are very cheap on that 10-minute walk from the hotel to downtown. My room was big with air conditioning, a large window and a private bathroom. Although it had two beds, the owners don't ask you to share with any other guests. The owners Rocio and Sandro, and their son Alessandro went above and beyond in being helpful in every aspect, including giving directions, suggesting and connecting me with tours, arranging boat rides to other islands, arranging a taxi to the airport, providing discounts, and offering safety tips. My week-long stay was quite affordable and without a hitch. I highly recommend Casa Cascada.

We had a great stay at the Hostal Casa Cascada! The owners were very nice and friendly and they went the extra mile to ensure we had a good experience at puerto ayora (ex: they helped us cancel & get a refund for a tour we booked through ******* so we could rebook the same tour locally for a much lower price). The breakfast began at 6:45 and was only 6$; we asked for hot chocolate the first morning and they did not have any but made sure we could have some for the next day. We were also lucky to have had the opportunity to rent snorkeling gear from them and to have them explain everything we had to know about Santa Cruz Island. My only "negative" point was that we struggled to get warm water in the shower but it seems like many other places had the same issue so it shouldn't be a criteria to chose this place or not.
