Location is great for a backstreet area of the old town. A nice little walk down the steps and back streets to the harbour, with a supermarket, several restaurants and bars nearby. In all honesty, if you wanted a calm chill break, you could easily stay in this area of PDC and not need to go anywhere for a week The rooms are spacious. facilities, though basic, are fine for cooking in an evening, but the cost locally to eat out, it’s easier IMO to just eat out every night A few small issues with the room. lighting is awful in the main areas of each room, you almost shower by candlelight. Main bedroom/kitchen/living area, lighting is again shoddy. We used a torch in the wardrobe at times Aside from that, cleaned well everyday, beds made, towels every couple of days. Would have preferred a bedding change after 4 days rather than non during our week stay TV doesnt connect to internet if you use your wifi code on your phone. So couldnt use the tv for netflix etc The bathroom slide door doesnt actually stay closed at times either, and the shower glass wall/divider is not quite long enough to stop a bathroom floor flood if you shower for more than 5 minutes There’s also no mirror in the main living area, so anyone having to do make up, literally needs a portable mirror, or has to stand in the bathroom to get ready. It’s the little things that make a holiday comfortable. When you’re having to use the room glass doors to see your outfit with no decent length mirror. It’s a little annoying The hotel advertises itself as “adults only”. However, there was at least 1 child running around the whole of our stay The pool area, plenty of sunbeds, relatively quiet unless you have lairy people throwing themselves off the upper pool wall into the lower pool. And the pool itself, you go from the heat of Lanzarote, to what can only be described as the icy cold depths of the antarctic in seconds. How the pool isnt heated, with it being so small is an absolute mystery. It just doesnt warm up, no matter the daytime temp, the wind just takes any heat away If you like an ice bath however, right up your street… The hotel does have a “no outside vendor food/drinks” around the pool. As the hotel does have a very large food selection, and a good choice of drinks. However, if you come out of your room to allow the cleaners to clean, and want to sit and eat your own made breakfast at the tables around the pool, to be courteous to your cleaners, you absolutely CANNOT do this and will rudely get told off by the male ginger receptionist. Regardless of whether you explain or not But then, later in the day, if you want to go and buy your own drinks from the shop, food from the local food places, fish and chips, pizza etc and just eat them with your family around the pool. Go right ahead. Rowdy deck jump family did just that without any issues Price i paid vs price i would expect to pay knowing the facilities etc. Maybe £100 too much for the week. We paid £500 (2 people) sat to sat
