As a solo traveller I somewhat struggling to find accommodation where i feel totally relaxed, but Aqua Marina did this 100%. The apartments are spacious, and blend seamlessly into the traditional local harbour it provided me with the most stunning views, a comfy bed, super clean facilities, blissfully peaceful nights but still centrally located to enjoy all Puerto del Carmen. The pool area is good considering the location. There are numerous sunbeds dotted around the complex with quite a few apartments having them on their own balconies, so it provides plenty to go around. What staff i met seemed friendly, reception is only open til 2pm which was a little daunting, I arrived a 5pm with little charge on my phone and had to phone a number to gain entry (remember to go with a charged phone). One tiny gripe though...toilets. You are asked not to flush paper down to keep the eco system functioning....all mighty good if you have a bidet to support said action but this is not the case. I feel that this rule may not always be adhered to as your room isn't cleaned everyday.. but as i say its the only negative i found.
