Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang

My mom and I booked Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang for our first night in Pyeongchang during our trip to Gangwon-do. From the moment we checked in, the staff's friendliness was truly impressive. It was our first visit, and the hotel made a fantastic first impression! Every staff member we encountered, whether in the lobby or the cafe, was incredibly kind and helpful. The room and bedding were impeccably clean, allowing us to rest comfortably. The bathroom was also spotless, and the water pressure for the shower was excellent. The garden was beautifully maintained, so even though we were tired after visiting Daegwallyeong Ranch and Odaesan Mountain, we still took the time to explore it. The garden is quite spacious and perfect for a leisurely stroll. We also noticed the swimming pool. Although we didn't use it, it looked like a great spot for kids to play. If I visit Pyeongchang again, I'd definitely choose this hotel!

This was an excellent place to stay for a trip with our two-year-old. The restaurant was great, and with amenities like the swimming pool, animal farm, and kids' playground, we had plenty to enjoy for our 3-day, 2-night stay without ever needing to leave the property. We'd definitely love to come back.

We visited last year and we're back again! This is a fantastic family-friendly hotel, absolutely perfect for a trip with kids. There are plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained, and both the breakfast and the overall food quality are delicious. True to its 5-star rating, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive.

From the moment we checked in, the friendly smile and helpful guidance of staff member Kang 00 at the front desk, along with their thoughtful and personalized service, set a wonderful tone for our stay. The outdoor scenery was absolutely stunning, and we also enjoyed the various activities like animal feeding. Thanks to all this, we had a truly delightful family trip. Thank you!

Kensington Pyeongchang is one of my favorite resorts. When it gets hot in summer, the area at the foot of Odaesan Mountain is simply unbeatable. I especially loved dipping my feet in the stream next to the glamping area – it was so refreshing and blissful. The English garden is also very lovely. However, it's quite inconvenient that all facilities now incur an additional charge since the pandemic. Perhaps facilities like the swimming pool could be complimentary for guests, with the cost simply included in the room rate? The extra charges and time restrictions really make me hesitate to use them. Lastly, the prices at Café Flori are also quite steep for the food quality/portion size.

The service and other amenities were satisfactory, but the room was dated, and the peeling paint on the outdoor pool floor was unhygienic.

It was perfect for a stay with children. We really enjoyed the peaceful natural surroundings of Pyeongchang. While the only available amenity was room service, it didn't detract from our enjoyment with the kids. We truly appreciated the room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable! We hope to visit again soon!

The hotel itself felt a bit dated and not very well-maintained. There were cobwebs on the room balcony, the cleaning wasn't thorough, and the chair in the room was creaky. However, the hotel's garden was truly expansive and beautiful, perfect for a leisurely stroll after breakfast or for simply dipping your feet in the stream. Because of this, I actually think it was even better suited for a stay with parents. I believe it would be significantly improved if they renovated the dated areas and paid more attention to room cleanliness.
