Phoenix Hotel Pyeongchang

Had a great stay, excellent value for money! They don't clean the room during consecutive nights, but they provide plenty of towels and water. The water park and breakfast were just okay.

The hotel was clean, but I found it a bit inconvenient that there wasn't a water dispenser in the lobby or hallway. The electric kettle in the room seemed old or poorly maintained, as it had some white residue inside, making it unhygienic. I had to go all the way to the main building's Blue Wing just to find a water dispenser, which was quite a hassle.

It was a good business trip. Thank you for your hard work!

The weather was so cool and breezy; it felt like autumn even though it's summer. The hotel's condition is always top-notch~!

It was the off-season (summer) and a quiet trip from Monday to Thursday, just before the peak holiday rush, with a bit of rain. The hotel front desk was unstaffed after 5 PM, so on the first night, with a late check-in, it was an automatic process. This meant we couldn't request extra bedding (even though we had contacted them beforehand, but since we didn't meet staff directly, the request was missed) – the room key was a keypad code. For the summer season, I'd recommend staying in the condos instead; it seemed like there were always staff at the condo front desk. Perhaps because it was the off-season, but our room wasn't cleaned once during our 3-night, 4-day stay at the hotel. They said cleaning would happen on the 4th day. If requested, they would collect used towels, and they left two bottles of water outside our door daily. Pyeongchang itself seemed to be on summer vacation, with many restaurants and museums closed. Nevertheless, the beautiful mountain scenery and fresh air make me want to visit again.

Everything was great – cozy, friendly, delicious food, and a beautiful view. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. The sauna facilities were also clean and I really liked them.

It took over 2 hours by direct bus from Hongdae subway station to get here. The hotel is located right inside the ski resort. However, even if you arrive early, you still have to wait until 3:00 PM to check in. The front desk won't proactively tell you about the discounts available with your room card for ski passes, hot springs, and many other activities unless you ask. That said, the room was spacious enough and offered excellent views of the ski slopes. The lobby also has a free storage room for guests to keep their ski equipment and take a short break.
