Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. The front desk was efficient, the 100-square-meter room was elegant, and the lobby had a pleasant fragrance. The room layout was well-designed, and Naya provided attentive service. It was a great stay! Even in a strong storm, the seaside had its own unique charm.

Fantastic sea view, clean and tidy room with excellent facilities. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. My stay far exceeded expectations, making it a perfect spot for a beach vacation.

This was an incredibly memorable stay. The room was huge, as was the bed and the balcony, which had two large tatami mats at either end. My only minor complaint is that the TV was a bit old and couldn't cast to other devices. The lobby was grand, and the two large birdcages with cute pairs of birds inside were a lovely touch. The lobby bar had amazing views, and the infinity pool outside was also great.

The hotel's overall environment is beautiful, clearly built with great care, showcasing a Southeast Asian style, much like the Raffles I stayed at in Sanya. However, the facility maintenance, service, and hygiene are far inferior. Let me start with the positives: the breakfast was good. Although the variety wasn't huge, the freshly made wontons and steamed dim sum were delicious, especially the fresh pork mini wontons 👍. Some staff members had excellent attitudes, proactively escorting elderly guests back to their rooms, which deserves praise. Now for the unacceptable drawbacks: 1. I booked a Deluxe Twin Room and was upgraded to an Executive Twin Room upon check-in. They didn't proactively mention that the minibar was chargeable. At checkout, I was charged 20 yuan for a Sprite and a packet of snacks. I truly don't understand this. I've stayed in many hotels, both luxury and budget, and executive rooms usually come with at least one complimentary minibar round. Here, it's not only not complimentary, but they also don't inform you beforehand, and there's no clear pricing in the room. It's really frustrating 😓. 2. We booked a twin room, and one of the bedsheets was torn. When we went to the restaurant for dinner, the tablecloth was also torn. My mom commented that the hotel was truly 'economical.' 3. On the first night, I called to request an extra duvet. They replied that they only had double duvets, not single ones. I mentioned I was staying for three nights and asked if they could change it if a single one became available. On the third day, hotel staff were chatting, saying the hotel had very few guests, only around 60 people. I called customer service again to ask for a single duvet, and they still said they didn't have one. I was speechless 😓. Overall, the environment is exceptionally good, but the internal management is underwhelming, and the facilities and service are severely lacking. If they continue to operate this way, it truly does a disservice to the hotel's prime location and beautiful scenery.

Upon checking in, I noticed issues with the balcony sliding door and room door, which were difficult to open and close. I reported this to our butler, Lemon. Lemon was incredibly responsive and handled the issue promptly, quickly arranging for a solution. Her service mindset and execution are truly commendable. I suggest the hotel conducts more regular inspections and maintenance on room hardware in the future. Overall, my stay was pleasant, and I'm very grateful for Lemon's attentiveness. 🙏

Had a fantastic stay, felt right at home. The decor was tasteful, and the background music perfectly suited the ambiance. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Looking forward to staying longer next time!

I'd heard about The Lalu Qingdao many years ago but never got to experience it myself. This time, I brought my child along... and I can only say I regret staying two nights. If you're a couple, I'd recommend staying one night to experience Qingdao's most well-designed hotel, but the maintenance and hygiene were truly disappointing. Firstly, I hope the hotel can ensure all the lights in the room are working. The overall feel is already quite dark, and then there were several broken spotlights. Secondly, the carpet was incredibly dirty! Can it please be cleaned? Being by the sea, it's naturally damp, making carpets prone to getting dirty... the carpets in the room were covered in grime and cigarette butt marks. The breakfast restaurant was just chaotic overall. There were plenty of staff, and they cleared tables fairly quickly... but they shouldn't just clear tables and ignore the floor, right? There were leftovers from previous tables all over the ground. Also, the pool area. Because the hotel is near a scenic spot, many outsiders pass through the pool area to go fishing by the sea. I understand it's hard for the hotel to manage this, but at the very least, they could stop people from washing their hands and feet at the pool. After all, many guests staying at this hotel are families with children. I truly hope a hotel with such fantastic design can continue to improve. The scenery here is outstanding, even for a coastal area in Qingdao or northern China.

The room was massive, a full 100 square meters! My child and I could roll around freely on the 2.2-meter bed. The ocean view from the balcony was amazing, and we even set an alarm to watch the sunrise over the sea. It's a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy a beach vacation.

Our stay at The Lalu Qingdao truly exceeded expectations! The overall atmosphere was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The hotel's design is grand and luxurious, with an amazing sense of space, and the rooms are especially spacious, so you never feel cramped. The hotel grounds are quite large, and it can be a bit of a walk, but strolling along and enjoying the architecture and sea views made it feel less tiring; instead, it created an immersive vacation experience. The weather wasn't great when we arrived, but the hotel thoughtfully upgraded our room, which instantly enhanced our experience! The staff were all incredibly enthusiastic and helpful, especially David, who was super responsive throughout our stay and promptly resolved any issues we had – he was really reliable. The buffet dinner at the hotel had a fantastic ambiance, and unwinding in the room with a bath while gazing at the sea views was incredibly therapeutic. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

The hotel facilities are complete, the space is large, clean, and comfortable, and the environment is quiet. The surroundings of the hotel are also beautiful, and you can take photos of the stunning sea view from the room's balcony, perfect for watching the sunrise 🌅. The service is also excellent.

Great location, beautiful views, and good design. However, the maintenance and operation are very poor, everything looks rundown and a bit sad.

Beautiful hotel. Spacious and comfortable room. Great view. On a clear day you can see light show on Qingdao side from your room. Sitting at the balcony at night, listening to the sound of waves hitting the beachnwith beer in your hand is very blissful. Down side, the air-con in room is not cold enough for us. Also, the location of this place is quite secluded which is great if you want to stay away from the crowd. However, though the place is easy to get regular Didi ride to somewhere else, it's very hard to get Didi XL that could carries our 6 suitcases when we left the hotel. So we ended up using hotel limo to got to our next hotel.

Designed by the renowned architect Kerry Hill as his final project in mainland China, it's celebrated for its minimalist lines, copper mesh facade, and a dry landscape courtyard, earning it the nickname 'a museum you can live in.' I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade to an Executive Seaview King Suite, directly facing the beach and the infinity pool. I even caught the sunrise one morning, though unfortunately, the next day was foggy. The room itself is about 100㎡, incredibly spacious, and features North American walnut wood and stone, creating a serene and Zen-like atmosphere. It comes with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony, along with a bathtub, smart toilet, and heated towel rack. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including local specialties. The staff are warm, professional, and provide attentive service. This is the perfect getaway for anyone seeking a sense of escape.

The design of the Hualuxe Qingdao is absolutely stunning, a masterpiece by the late Kerry Hill, who was renowned for his work with Aman resorts. Few hotels can rival its aesthetic appeal. However, the owner's management falls short; the facilities are poorly maintained, and the service is disappointing, truly underutilizing its great foundation. I still recommend staying once just to experience its beauty. If a top-tier hotel brand were to manage it, it would definitely be a strong contender against the likes of Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay.
