Here's my review (very honest, very honest) On my first day, I took the subway. Although it's a bit of a distance from the subway to the hotel, the navigation showed it was all downhill, so pulling my luggage wasn't tiring at all. Then, I went out again, and it felt like it was about two intersections apart; it took less than 10 minutes to reach "Voyage," the hotel run by Xiaotong's mom. I was incredibly lucky that day and even met Xiaotong's mom!!! (Everyone at Hehuo stays here!!!!) Getting to the Catholic Church, Zhanqiao Pier, and other attractions by taxi is very convenient, about 10 minutes, and very cheap. Besides the location, the hotel's service was also excellent. They asked if we had any souvenirs and said they could give us extras (apparently, souvenirs are gifts given out in specific months). They also asked if we needed housekeeping. We said we needed napkins, not housekeeping, and they left the napkins at the door without coming into the room. Their toilet was smart and kept our bottoms warm, the slippers weren't cheap, and the hairdryer had a strong airflow—it felt like a regular hairdryer. Also, I don't know if it was because of the room type we booked, but the blankets were exceptionally large. My friend and I shared a bed, and there was absolutely no fighting over the blankets. There's also a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, hehe. And we wanted to stay a little longer on our last day, so we could check out quite late (but that might not be possible during peak season, so you can ask in advance).
