Crowne Plaza QINGDAO by IHG

This was my first time in Qingdao, and I had a fantastic experience. The weather was pleasant, and as someone who usually stays at Crowne Plaza hotels in the Yangtze River Delta, I was impressed with how well-maintained this one was. It's super convenient with a subway station and plenty of food options right outside. The beach is also close, about a 15-minute walk along the bay. Plus, Aeon has discounted fruit after 7 PM! I got an upgrade during my weekday stay, and the service from Luck was excellent. The hotel even has a swimming pool, so the kids had a blast. My wife enjoyed the seafood, and I enjoyed the beer – everyone was happy!

Convenient location, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The housekeeping team even greeted us proactively. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back. This time we stayed in a top-floor suite, and it was an excellent experience.

Joy at the front desk was incredibly welcoming. Seeing that it was an older couple checking in with a child, she upgraded us to a suite and enthusiastically explained the hotel facilities and breakfast options. We were very satisfied.

Conveniently located near May Fourth Square, making it easy to get to various attractions. There's a supermarket and mall right below the hotel. On the day of check-in, the front desk gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room on the 30-something floor, with views of the ocean and the Olympic Sailing Center. The delivery robot was diligent, and the freshly ground coffee at breakfast was excellent. Hope to stay here again next time I visit Qingdao.

I want to specially thank Joy at the front desk for this stay. I encountered an unexpected issue during my check-in and immediately sought her help. Joy was incredibly friendly and didn't brush me off. She listened carefully to my request and actively helped coordinate and communicate with various parties, doing her utmost to resolve the problem properly. The entire process was timely, thoughtful, professional, and patient. Thanks to her attentive and considerate service, a small check-in hassle was resolved, greatly enhancing my stay experience. I'm very satisfied.

The rooms are old, breakfast was mediocre, and the dinner buffet was also quite disappointing, especially the salmon (it would have been better to just remove the salmon from the menu rather than serve such poor quality. Although, the woman slicing the salmon managed to fill a large plate, it looked quite good – not sure where she was taking it, haha). I originally planned to stay at the Qingxiangge, but it was fully booked for the holidays, so I tried the Crowne Plaza, and it definitely… (The picture shows what the hotel called a “complimentary luxury fruit platter.” The tomatoes and mini cantaloupes looked at least 10 days old. It would have been better if they hadn't sent anything at all; this really lowers their own standards).

The hotel's location is excellent, close to all the main attractions. The service was impeccable, and overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I want to give a special shout-out to Manager Han Lei! I had trouble booking a room online four times previously, and there were many communication issues. Manager Han handled everything efficiently and responsibly, helping me secure a room. He even arranged a birthday cake for the children and upgraded our room type. His service was warm, attentive, and highly professional. This stay far exceeded our expectations!

The service from Xu Qiuling, a staff member on the 29th floor, was exceptional. She was friendly, professional, and actively helped coordinate all sorts of requests. Communication with her was excellent. She had a strong service ethic and handled issues patiently and thoughtfully, leaving a great impression on our stay. Very satisfied.
