The front desk service was warm and attentive, and our room was well-equipped and comfortable. The balcony faced the sea, perfect for watching the sunrise. The hotel's elevator goes directly to the beach from the basement level, which was very convenient. We traveled during the off-season, so the hotel offered good value for money, which is why we extended our stay for another two nights.

A very satisfying stay! The room was spacious with a large balcony, perfect for drying clothes, and we even saw fireworks at night. The location is excellent. However, the washing machines and dryers in the laundry room were quite old and dirty, which was a bit disappointing.

Do NOT book this hotel! Do NOT book this hotel! Do NOT book this hotel! This hotel is absolutely terrible, extremely bad!!! The only pro: close to the beach. Now for the cons: I won't even bother talking about the old facilities and outdated amenities; many, many reviews have already mentioned those. I'll just focus on the service, which is: Absolutely nonexistent, no service whatsoever!!!! The laundry is completely self-service with no staff managing it. It's chaotic; people often stop your wash mid-cycle and take out your clothes. When you ask the front desk, they say it's due to personal guest issues and they can't do anything about it. The package pick-up area looks like a junkyard, completely unmanaged. You have to rummage through piles of packages yourself. If you didn't know better, you'd think you were scavenging. (See attached photos for the package area). During my stay, some unknown company was hosting an event at the hotel, making the entire lobby a complete mess. The elevators took forever to arrive. If the hotel can't handle such events, they shouldn't take them on – it just causes headaches for the main guests. They claim to have a kids' play area and a pool, but ALL of them were unusable, either under maintenance or simply closed. My entire stay was worse than what you'd get at a 3-star hotel. The human element of service was utterly dismal. I hope this review reaches more people. Please, please do NOT book this hotel. There are many more suitable hotels in Huangdao. Definitely do not book this one. Especially for family trips, booking this hotel will only bring you endless disgust and absolutely no benefits. Do NOT book this hotel! Do NOT book this hotel! Avoid this place! I booked it because the room rate for that particular day was 400+, usually I've seen it around 1000. But when I arrived, I was very disappointed. I don't even think it's worth 400+! 1/ The driveway leading to the lobby was dirty and messy, due to some banquet hall decorations upfront. 2/ There were no clear signs leading to the hotel's underground parking. Entering the garage meant going down two very dark ramps. I couldn't believe this was the parking garage for a five-star hotel. 3/ I waited in line for 15 minutes to check in. I asked for a quiet room, and they gave me one on the 8th floor, right next to a defunct executive lounge, and it was the very first room on the right after exiting the elevator! I could clearly hear all the hallway noise. 4/ The hotel sink didn't have hand towels, just a small, round bar of soap that many five-star hotels don't even use anymore. 5/ The wooden floor on the balcony was old and warped. When I pulled out the ironing board, the surface was a indescribable yellowish-green color. 6/ The mattress was hard; you could feel the springs when you lay down. While others are using latex mattresses, they still have an old spring mattress. 7/ There was a strong smell of 84 disinfectant when I entered the room. 8/ The room's AC was set to 19 degrees, but the room temperature consistently stayed at 26.8 degrees. I stayed in room 8115! I'm making a real-name complaint to warn others away! I will never stay at this hotel again. This is, without a doubt, the worst Wyndham Grand in China!

The room was incredibly old; you can see for yourselves in the pictures how outdated it was. The shower was even dirtier, but I didn't take a photo. The soundproofing was terrible. Maybe there was a conference during my stay, but I could hear people talking on the phone in the hallway from my room, and it was extremely noisy. I called the front desk to ask them to do something about it, and the staff member questioned me, saying, 'This is a high-end hotel, it couldn't possibly be noisy.' I laughed. Do I have nothing better to do than call and lie? Am I that bored? There was absolutely no apology throughout the whole ordeal, not even at checkout, which was really frustrating. Breakfast was also a nightmare; it felt like a stampede, probably because there was a tour group. The breakfast area was like a bustling marketplace. I asked if I could take food back to my room. The staff member who controls access to the dining area replied sarcastically, 'Oh, we don't allow takeout here.' I was a bit annoyed and asked why, pointing out that other hotels allow it, and we paid extra for a room with breakfast. Another staff member next to her subtly nudged her. The first staff member then said, 'Oh, well, you can only take one egg and one piece of bread...' I told her to stop, saying I wouldn't eat there then! In the end, I didn't eat breakfast there and ordered takeout. At the time, this hotel was in a very remote location with not many good food options around. The main problem was that deliveries could only be left in the parcel locker; there were no robots, and staff wouldn't help deliver them. You had to go down and get it yourself! This is just like the Kempinski in Jinan – you have to go down yourself! Convenience is impossible here, and don't even think about good service!

The hotel's location is excellent, just a couple of hundred meters from Silver Beach, making it very convenient for beachcombing. Tangdaowan Wetland Park, right across the street, is also great for a stroll. The family room is a spacious bay-view room, and the master bedroom, in particular, is quite luxurious and includes a washing machine. The management is very accommodating; although check-in is officially after 3 PM, they allowed us to check in early, and we were granted a one-hour late checkout the next day. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, but there's room for improvement in taste. The set meal we ordered at the Chinese restaurant was delicious and offered great value for money.

I have a few suggestions for such a great, five-star environment. The breakfast in the morning was really disappointing, there wasn't even any real meat, let alone seafood – not even small seafood. For 89, you could get a pretty decent buffet outside. They should bring in some entertainment; we had to drive out for a spa at night. The toiletries could be better, Two-sided Needle brand... Charging 1.5 at night.

I chose the Wyndham in Qingdao because it's very close to Silver Beach. You just go down to the basement level of the hotel and cross the street to get there. Silver Beach has fine, soft sand and clean water, and it's not too crowded, so surfing was a blast! The hotel is a bit older, but it's very spacious, with a swimming pool, gym, and both Chinese and Western restaurants. The lobby on the first floor is bright and airy, with plenty of seating for guests to relax. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food, spread across several sections, with ample seating and continuous food replenishment, so even when the hotel was full, there was no problem getting enough to eat. The room was large, with Silver Beach right outside the window – the sea view room had a great view. The facilities are a bit dated, and the lighting isn't very bright. The bed is quite old, but they've added a mattress topper, so it's still reasonably comfortable. The room's cleanliness could be improved; there was dust in the corners and the bathroom floor was dirty. The staff were very friendly and didn't rush us to check out even after 12 PM. If you're going for a beach vacation, I highly recommend it!

To be honest, I read a lot of negative reviews before coming here, which made me feel a bit down and didn't have high expectations. This allowed me to write this review more objectively. First, the hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to Gate 3 of Yingshatan (Silver Beach), within walking distance. The water at Silver Beach is indeed very clean, and it's not overly crowded, which is acceptable for the summer holidays. The hotel is certainly a bit old, but the service is spot on. Check-in was smooth with no long waits, and the front desk answered all our questions well. Requests for a crib, extra towels, and toiletries were all responded to quickly. Staff members we passed by always greeted us, and when the lobby was busy, there were also staff in Hawaiian shirts helping to answer various questions. It feels like the hotel has read the negative reviews and is actively trying to improve. The entire room was spacious and bright, with a beautiful view. Our stay was very comfortable. The soundproofing isn't great, but it's acceptable. The kids also had a great time at the hotel's pools, and both the indoor and outdoor pools had dedicated lifeguards, making it reassuring to let them play. Overall, our stay at Wyndham was quite good; it wasn't as bad as some reviews suggested.

We arrived around 70 minutes after visiting the Naval Museum in the evening. We had two rooms, and unfortunately, one of them still had hair from the previous guest in several spots. The laundry rooms on odd-numbered floors are supposed to have two sets of washers and dryers, but I checked the 3rd and 5th floors and they were all broken. So, everyone had to queue up on the 7th floor. I couldn't even finish my laundry until late at night, having to stay up waiting. The Silver Beach has great sand quality and clean water. The downside is that it closes at 6 PM and reopens at 7 AM, so only those with sea-view balcony rooms get a chance to see the sunrise. If you want to avoid the scorching sun and play by the sea in the evening, I recommend booking a beach BBQ nearby; you can enter before 6 PM and stay on the beach until after 9 PM. The hotel's swimming pool is quite good, with a deep end for serious swimming and a children's pool for splashing around. For a beachfront hotel, it's generally well-maintained, and thankfully, you don't find sand everywhere. There's direct access to the pool and Silver Beach from the hotel's basement, with freshwater rinse showers along the way. There are also delivery lockers and tables at the entrance, so there's no need to spend extra on breakfast.

Room was not thoroughly cleaned ever. They didn't change our bedding once. I injured my foot and requested extra pillows to elevate it several times and they never came.

Two families traveling together booked two rooms. Although it was a bay view, the scenery outside the window was still beautiful. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, and it led directly to Yinsha Beach, where we had a lot of fun.

Facilities: A bit old, needs improvement. Hygiene: Decent. Environment: Booked this place because it's close to the beach. You can walk a few hundred meters downstairs to get to the beach, and my child absolutely loved it. Service: Service was average. It was peak season in summer, so I guess they couldn't attend to everyone properly. Some dissatisfactions: 1. Came with a child, but they didn't proactively provide kids' toothbrushes or slippers. Had to call and ask for them. 2. The extra bed was very rudimentary; the headboard was just covered with a large towel, which felt unhygienic. 3. The '2-meter king-size bed' was actually two beds pushed together, and the mattress quality was very poor, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.

The room was terrible. The bathroom had no ventilation, and the staff said that's how it was designed. As a result, the entire bathroom was damp and wet. The king and twin rooms seemed to have been renovated, but this family room was very old and run-down.
