Qingdao Yuwen B&B (Longkou Road, Longjiang Road Branch)

Traveling during the off-season is a great option, as it's very quiet and located near popular tourist attractions. The rooms and courtyards have striking design elements, and the courtyard is perfect for relaxing and taking photos. The beach is just a short walk away.

It's a long story! A hotel with no bad reviews, located on a trendy street, quiet despite the hustle and bustle. The owner even reminded me of my arrival early on the day of my check-in, so I came with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was poor. The room was quite small and the comfort was average; the bathroom was clean, but the showerhead's hot water pressure was very low even at 40°C or higher; the next morning, while washing up, a centipede crawled out of my towel, giving me quite a fright; I quickly packed my luggage, left it at the hotel, and when I returned with some food, I put it on the stone table in the courtyard. After going to the public restroom on the second floor, retrieving my luggage, and returning to the stone table, the food was scattered all over the floor. I asked the owner to check the security footage, and it turned out a stray cat had dragged the bag to the front door. Sigh… if you're not too fixated on the trendy street, this room is really only average for its price. Otherwise, it depends on your luck!

The location is excellent, surrounded by popular photo spots, which indirectly means the traffic is very congested. It's always crowded; a 1-kilometer walk took me over half an hour. It's more suitable for young people looking for photo opportunities, and walking is recommended. Based on online reviews, the decor is tasteful. Unfortunately, my room wasn't in Courtyard 7, and the room itself wasn't particularly impressive. However, it smelled fresh and clean, without any cigarette smell. I'm quite picky about bedding. The mattress was firm, but the pillows were comfortable. However, I'm allergic to this particular set, and my husband and I both experienced intense itching all night. We ended up changing hotels the next day. The owner is very helpful. They provided local travel tips beforehand, saving us the trouble of planning, and recommended some good value local restaurants. We tried two, and both were quite good. They agreed to let us check out early after we mentioned the bedding issue.

This trip with my child involved staying at five hotels. Yuwen Hotel was the best fit for me! The owner is a discerning and experienced traveler. The rooms and living room were both beautifully and practically furnished; I felt right at home. The air conditioning was on, and the room was impeccably clean and stylish. We stayed for three nights, and everything was wonderful. Lying in bed, I thought about how this century-old house must have held countless stories… Every piece of furniture seemed to tell its own tale. In my spare time, I gently touched them; they felt warm to me… Every chair was so comfortable; even while traveling, I could enjoy short reading sessions. A happy everyday life is about maintaining that sense of ease. In short, staying at Yuwen Hotel made this Qingdao trip a perfect ending. I'm grateful to the owner for providing travel tips and restaurant information; we tried four different restaurants, all of which were excellent.

The room was very clean and fully equipped! There was even a washing machine and microwave... The owner was also super nice~ No handling fee for early check-out... The guesthouse has two small courtyards... The first night I stayed at He, an old villa with beautiful scenery! Perfect for taking photos...

This was one of my favorite guesthouses in Qingdao. The old house and furniture had a comforting, vintage smell. The trumpet vines in the courtyard were climbing wildly and beautifully, and the hydrangeas and water lilies were also thriving – perfect for taking photos. The owner also recommended some delicious restaurants.
