Room was large and clean.
Elevators were temperamental in that they there was always a queue and took a decent amount of time to arrive.
On one occasion, swipe cards ceased working for most of the day and this wasn't communicated.
Housekeeping does a good job however it's unknown at what time they will come.

it's been while since I stayed here, and it's good to see the 'designer quirkiness' continues, which is unusual for a budget hotel, right?
The lobby has a 24 hour coffee bar, decked out with anything but the plain neutral walls you'd expect— see photos.
The rooms keys and notices have tags 'Step into the Ibis Groove' with a vinyl record icon! and 'Enjoy the silence'! 🤫. Great Stuff!— see photos
The room has a mini bar, that doubles as a stand up desk, very handy for those use to stand up desks— see photos
all this makes the place little more memorable and ilnteresting compared to usual cheap & cheerful budget hotels, but like all budget hotels it not use to catering to international travellers so the use of English is pretty low amongst staff. If you can't speak mandarin make sure you download an app, preferably one that works offline as the internet sucks at IBIS.

Really great location and the amenities include a kitchenette and washing machine which was really helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the metro and is nested in a residential building, there are three separate receptions for different hotels in the building all on the ground floor.
Couldn't really connect to the smart home systems due to not having a Chinese number but it's a common problem across China. The reception team is friendly and there is luggage storage post check out.

The hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating. The facilities are just great, it's within close walking distance of May 4th square, the coast and the Mixc mall is practically in the same building complex.
It's an ideal location for business trips, or vacation. The rooms offer enough facilities that if you are staying long enough you can cook for yourself, you can also get assistance from the staff to order take-aways, and there are a large number of different kinds of restaurants nearby. Also there's a 7-11 convenience store within 2 minutes walking distance from the entrance to the hotel. And getting a taxi is very easy and convenient through the Didi app. If you're familiar with how things work in China, it'll be really easy for you to feel at home, if not, the staff will do their best to assist you with anything you need.
