Location is good. The hotel is located on a cliff and you get stunning views of the mountains, sea and the beach. We stayed at the room with balcony facing the sea and it was a good choice. It’s a family friendly hotel, so recommend it if you are travelling with kids. They have a small play ground for kids and one indoor kids ball pool. Breakfast has limited choice especially if you are looking for western. English skills at reception are limited but I was able to manage with my basic mandarin. Note: if you are coming from Qingdao to hotel through the south route your taxi/car can only enter after 5:30 pm and you will be stopped by traffic authorities at the Laoshan Mountain entrance gate (around 10 km from hotel). Only public buses are allowed to enter before this time from this gate. So make sure you discuss with your taxi driver before hand and take the north route to enter/exit before 5:30 pm

The room facilities were very modern, and the kids loved the large bathtub. What impressed me most was that there was a real mountain wall right inside the entrance. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, offering drinks whenever needed – so refreshing! You could take amazing photos right from the room. The nearby beach is undeveloped; the waves were quite big and the sand was coarse when we went. I recommend going to the beach near the checkpoint. If you just want to relax, the room is perfect – enjoying the air conditioning, watching the waves, and going downstairs for food and drinks when you're hungry.

Overall, the experience was poor. The children's room window was broken and couldn't be opened, resulting in a lack of ventilation. I tried to turn on the air conditioner, but it was filled with dust, which was disgusting; the dust was almost overflowing from the air deflector. The children's bed wasn't cleaned properly; there was sand on it from the previous guest. There was no breakfast served in the dining room. Too few people were eating, and the semi-finished food in the kitchen had probably been frozen for a long time. I only stayed one night, so I was too lazy to take pictures.
