Gongheyuan Hotel

The hotel seems to be an older property that's been renovated. Its location is a bit out of the way, but it's quiet at night. The room decor is quite new, though the breakfast selection is limited and the dining area is small.

👍 Pros (Highlights): * **Space & Cleanliness:** Rooms are spacious, and cleanliness is generally well-regarded. * **Service & Amenities:** The front desk provides warm service. Facilities are new and comprehensive, including a sky garden, gym, and swimming pool. There are abundant children's facilities, making it suitable for family trips. Free parking and a free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) experience are also offered. * **Location & Breakfast:** Convenient location, ideal for those driving, with many dining options nearby. Breakfast is plentiful. 👎 Cons (Areas to note): * **Soundproofing Issues:** The most significant drawback is soundproofing; some rooms experience road noise or corridor sounds. * **Facility Details:** In some rooms, the air conditioning cannot be self-regulated, a mini-fridge might be missing, or small hand towels are absent. * **Service & Elevators:** During holidays, the Chinese restaurant may be understaffed; the front desk phone was out of order for several days; elevators can be slow during peak check-out times. 💡 Special Note: The hotel is located near a cemetery. Travelers who are sensitive to this should be aware, though most guests report it doesn't affect their stay. Overall, if you're looking for a luxurious experience with great value for money and aren't extremely sensitive to noise, this would be an excellent choice. However, if you have very high demands for your sleeping environment, it's advisable to bring earplugs or request a quiet room when booking.

This is our second time choosing this hotel for a family trip. They even offered afternoon tea during the Dragon Boat Festival, a proper one too! The pool was open and the kids had a fantastic time. The only downside was that the front desk phone was out of order for several days. I couldn't get through to them at all, from pre-check-in inquiries to communicating during our stay. This meant we had to go to the front desk for everything!

The room overall was pretty good, and the location was excellent too. It was quite spacious, which made for a very comfortable stay. I'd definitely consider coming back again next time and would recommend it to friends.

I've stayed here several times, but this time the room next door was incredibly noisy, with people talking and singing loudly until 2 or 3 AM. I contacted the front desk, and after security's attempt to intervene was unsuccessful, they immediately moved me to a different room. The service was definitely on point, and the front desk staff were particularly warm and proactive, which I really appreciated. However, the Chinese restaurant seemed understaffed during the holiday, leading to some disorganization. On the bright side, they have robot delivery for room service, which was quite convenient!

Thumbs up to the hotel for their excellent service during the Qingyuan Marathon! The directions were clear, and I'm giving that star specifically to the marathon reception guy in the lobby. **Facilities:** The air conditioning couldn't be adjusted, which directly impacted my sleep quality! **Hygiene:** Acceptable. However, the disposable toiletries felt cheap, and the tissue quality was poor. **Environment:** The soundproofing was bad, and it was noisy being so close to the road. **Service:** Some of the front desk staff had terrible attitudes! I didn't experience any special features or services.
