Mandu Hotel

The overall accommodation environment was great. The hotel's public areas offered stunning ocean views, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The room itself was a decent size and provided excellent privacy; the window was blocked by a wall outside, so there was no need to worry about being seen by outsiders. The only downside was the lack of a desk and chairs in the room, which made working or placing items a bit inconvenient – something that could definitely be improved. Overall, it was an acceptable stay for a holiday.

The room was incredibly small, with no table or chairs, and the decor was very basic – essentially motel-grade. Even for peak season, nearly 600 a night felt ridiculously overpriced, especially when other places like Blue Coast Xi Xi were around 500. I didn't book there because of poor cleanliness reviews. I'm a light sleeper, so I specifically asked for a quiet room. Instead, they gave me a room where the bed was right by the door, so I could hear every sound from the hallway. On the other side of the bed was a window, and something outside kept humming and buzzing, making noise. Around midnight, there was an emergency power outage and repairs. We figured we'd just try to sleep through it, but an emergency light in the room stayed on, making it impossible to sleep. Customer service said the light was connected to the fire system and couldn't be turned off, so we just had to lie there with our eyes open until the repairs were done before we could shower and go to bed. The service, however, was quite good. They were very responsive; anything we needed was brought quickly. The cleanliness was also decent, though there was no towel rack, so the bath towels placed under the sink were always damp. The facilities seemed relatively new. The restaurant food was quite good and perfect for families with kids. Since most nearby restaurants serve seafood home-style dishes, this place offered a mix of Chinese and Western simple meals. Everything tasted freshly made. It was very friendly for people like us who don't like seafood and don't want KFC or McDonald's. For anything else, just check the photos.

The apartment was clean and tidy, with a high level of smart home features. It had a large outdoor balcony and a refrigerator. The room was spacious, with a separate dining table. The sea was right downstairs, and the staff were very friendly. I would choose this place again next time.

Extremely close to the beach, clean and well-maintained environment, and excellent service. We went with my parents and children, and everyone was very satisfied! 👍

The room was very clean! The 180° view was truly amazing. In this hot weather, powerful showers and air conditioning are the most important things, and this hotel delivered exceptionally well on both. I had a very pleasant stay!

Right across from the hotel is a beach and swimming area, which made me feel like I'd found a local spot. There's also a steamed seafood buffet opposite that was heavily advertised on live streams. They had a good variety, but the quality was just so-so; you're better off ordering a few dishes from the seafood restaurants nearby. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The selection was limited, and aside from the freshly made wontons, the other dishes left a lot to be desired. Probably because it's cheap, so I'd recommend finding other breakfast options nearby. Still, walking into the room and seeing the sea view was quite therapeutic.

The front desk staff were excellent, even upgrading our room! The view was incredible – we could see the ocean right from our window. Being able to just walk downstairs to the beach was super convenient, especially for the kids to play.

The room faced the sea with large French windows, offering a great view. The hotel is right by the beach, and it wasn't crowded, making it perfect for kids. Being so close to the sea made it convenient to rinse off, and there was a free foot-washing station right at the beach entrance, which was a nice touch.

This time at the Qinhuangdao Mandu Hotel, the room was very clean and had a great view. The balcony overlooked the beach and the sea directly. The service was also excellent. We could just walk across to the beach right outside the hotel to see the sea, which was a fantastic experience. We even brought our dog and parrot, and the hotel was very pet-friendly. Highly recommended!
