Joido Manor Hotel

I absolutely have to write a review for this manor stay – it far exceeded our expectations! Our large family of 8 stayed in Courtyard No. 9, which was incredibly new. The first floor had a mahjong table that could be converted into a sleeping area. On the second floor, there were two bedrooms; one with two beds and another with a bunk bed – the kids all rushed to claim the bunk beds! The third floor also had two bedrooms. There was more than enough sleeping space for everyone. The courtyard was fantastic, with illuminated seesaws, a barbecue grill, and just a great atmosphere all around. The manager and front desk staff were also very nice. Upon check-in, we received a stack of vouchers for various activities like the water park, feeding animals, costume changes, and handicrafts, which was all very extensive. Unfortunately, we were short on time and couldn't take the kids to experience it all. The manor itself is also well worth exploring. This is a heartfelt recommendation from me! Oh, and the kitchen had a steamer, so if you're driving, you can pick up some seafood from a nearby market – we steamed a whole pot of it! I'm already looking forward to my next visit; it's a lot of fun to stay here with a big group.

The room was nice, and the butler service was responsive. The entire resort is huge with beautiful scenery. However, for a family-friendly hotel, there were too few bed rails. The princess photo experience was fun, but it would have been even better if the selection process service could be improved.

The hotel service was great, and the hygiene was excellent. The air conditioning worked perfectly. There were also parent-child activities like swimming and crafts.

The common problem with this type of hotel is that they use castles and scenic views as selling points, but the service, facilities, and dining are all poor. The room door wouldn't close unless forced, leading to repeated alarms. The room facilities were also quite old. The showerhead had weak water pressure, and it seemed like there was no regular maintenance – the spray was completely fragmented. I even found a strand of dust hanging from the ceiling. There was also a persistent noise from some unknown equipment that lasted from check-in to check-out, severely affecting my rest. The hotel's charging stations were more expensive than those at highway service areas, offering slow charging at 7 kW and fast charging at 20 kW? Seriously? There were an exceptional number of mosquitoes outside the hotel. I traveled all the way from the Jiaodong Peninsula to Hebei, and I returned to Liaoning covered in bites. The experience was terrible. Qinhuangdao's local services are incomparable to Shandong's; they are comprehensively backward and really sub-par. The hotel's dining was also a joke. Staff only appeared at 4:30 PM. The so-called 'open seating' area was just a large private room with a few tables. There was only one staff member who looked half-asleep. The large conch balls were just six small items, and the braised pork was all fatty. Two bowls of millet porridge cost ten yuan. Star-rated hotel prices for roadside stall quality – that’s exactly what it was! Out of all the hotels I've stayed in on this trip, only the Qingdao Haitian Hotel and this one charged a deposit (Qingdao Haitian charged 1000, and this one 500). For a hotel of this caliber, do you really deserve to charge that much? The most ridiculous part was that I couldn't stand staying there any longer, so I checked out at 6:30 AM. The staff were all sleeping. When I woke them, they said the deposit would be refunded after they checked the room during their working hours. It wasn't until 10:30 AM, after directly contacting the 'butler,' that the refund was processed. Overall, this hotel was the worst on this trip, second only to the Banyan Tree Tianjin. Although Shandong and Hebei are neighboring provinces, Shandong's overall service is much better than Hebei's – that was the most obvious difference. I definitely do not recommend this hotel. I hope anyone planning to go avoids it. There's also a security check when entering Qinhuangdao, and the setup is even more intimidating than entering Beijing, causing not only traffic congestion but also being completely performative!

This is a large hotel, and the front desk is designed like a castle, giving it a very European feel. They have different accommodation options including villas, cabins, and standard rooms. I highly recommend booking a cabin; they're standalone units with private yards, and you can even stargaze. There's a young man at the front desk who was particularly excellent – very willing and capable in his service. They also provide various coupons that can be redeemed for cocktails or access to the petting zoo, making it a great spot for family travel.

We chose a family room, which was perfect for our little one to enjoy a bath right in the room. The hotel even provided complimentary disposable bath bags, which was a really thoughtful touch. The room itself was incredibly spacious, and I was particularly impressed with the bathroom. Our family members who stayed in the King Suite and the Double Room on the same floor also raved about how beautiful their bathrooms were. The complimentary photoshoot with traditional outfits was a highlight; we did our own makeup and hair at the hotel, and the photos turned out amazing! I especially loved the Southern French-style vineyard within the hotel grounds – it was absolutely stunning! There were also many other picturesque spots perfect for kids' photos. I was very pleased with the complimentary plum juice and coffee in the lobby. Oh, and the breakfast was excellent too! They even had shrimp steamed dumplings, which were delicious and not at all watery. The ingredients were top-notch! My child loved playing here, and the pillows and bed were very comfortable.

Staying in Beidaihe for 4 nights, I originally planned to stay by the sea the whole time. In the end, because my child wanted to stay in a castle, we split our stay: 2 nights by the sea and 2 nights here. After one night, we moved to the castle family room. My impression is that this place is really no worse than a Marriott, and the service even surpasses Marriott by more than a little. The value for money is incredible; I honestly can't think of any downsides. I rarely leave reviews throughout the year, but this time I truly felt my conscience wouldn't let me not write one.

Our stay at the Qinhuangdao Zhoudun Manor Hotel was fantastic! The grounds are lush with greenery and grapevines everywhere. We loved feeding the adorable pets, dressing up for photos, and the kids had a blast at the playground and pool. The laundry facilities were also a huge plus. Our room was spacious and spotless; the family room even had a cute tent, slide, and a unique bathtub. The mini-bar was well-stocked with drinks and snacks. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle, and when it rained, the front desk staff thoughtfully met us with umbrellas. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and there's free coffee available on the first floor. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. It's truly perfect for families traveling with children, and I highly recommend it!

My stay at the Beidaihe ZhouDun Manor Castle Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The entire manor felt like a European castle garden, with a quiet and beautiful environment where every photo you take looks amazing. The staff at check-in were very welcoming and surprisingly upgraded me to a suite. It was very spacious, elegantly decorated, and had excellent natural light and soundproofing. The room was meticulously cleaned, with great attention to detail. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service throughout my stay, making me feel right at home. It's rare to find such a genuinely impressive hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Qinhuangdao.
