Citywell Hotel (Quanzhou Food Street)

I was in Quanzhou for two days and arrived quite late. The front desk staff, Xiao Feng, called in advance to confirm my check-in. When I arrived, they even helped upgrade my bed type. The service was excellent overall. I'm very satisfied. I'll book here again if I'm in the area.

This hotel is great! My company booked it for our team-building event, and everyone said they had a wonderful experience. It was quiet, so it was easy to sleep, and most importantly, the bedding was clean. The front desk staff were also very friendly. I'd definitely come back here if I'm in Quanzhou again. Plus, there's free coffee available!

Had a great experience here. The room was very soundproof, and the Chinese-style breakfast was abundant. I was even inspired to buy the hairdryer they had! Facilities: Okay Hygiene: Excellent Environment: Excellent Service: Excellent I'd choose this hotel again if I have the chance; the location is also very convenient.

The stay was very comfortable, and the environment was cozy. The room was clean, tidy, and the facilities were new, with no noise at all. The lobby also offered free tea, ice, and coffee. Food deliveries could be brought directly to the room by a robot. Right outside the hotel is a food street with many dining options, and transportation is very convenient. You can get a taxi instantly in the city center. This hotel is truly the 'Mixue Bingcheng' of the hotel industry – very affordable and great value for money.

The staff were very kind. The room I originally booked faced a wall of noisy air conditioning units, so the hotel staff upgraded my room, which I really appreciated! As for the downsides, this building houses a basketball court and a bar. Before 8:30 PM, you could hear the thumping of basketballs in the room, and after midnight, the music from the bar was very loud. Both day and night were affected. I assume this is a fundamental issue that can't be changed. There are parking spaces at the entrance, but they are incredibly small. When full, it's hard to even open the car door, and my car door handle even got a chip of paint knocked off by a neighboring car opening their door. Breakfast was decent. I wouldn't really recommend it!

Overall, it's excellent. The hotel's location is superb, right on the food street. Within a hundred meters, you can find many small eateries, and none of them disappoint. It's a 10-minute taxi ride to West Street in the old city and 15 minutes to Yangjie Night Market. The hotel itself is very new, and the bathroom is spacious. Both the front desk staff and the aunties are very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect, except for the typhoon! 🤣

I visited Quanzhou with friends this time and chose this hotel, and I was very satisfied. The environment and hygiene were excellent, and it was very convenient to get to the Ancient City, West Street, and other attractions. Although the weather wasn't great and it rained, the hotel provided umbrellas of all sizes for guests to use when going out, which was very thoughtful and met different guests' needs. They even offered a free hour in the tea room with complimentary tea. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I'm in Quanzhou.

The room was clean, the location was convenient, and it offered great value for money. My queen room was even upgraded for free to an executive queen room.

The room facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is very good. The location is super convenient, right next to a food street with many famous restaurants. The lighting is a bit dim. The front desk service was excellent and very helpful.
