Great location, very convenient for transport.

The smartest choice of this trip was staying at Xijie Xingshe (West Street Hotel) 👍. The location is superb, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area, nestled in an alley behind Suqingmen Square in the middle of West Street. It's incredibly convenient to reach all the popular attractions. You can feel the hotel's thoughtful design in every detail, blending modern aesthetics with Southern Fujian elements. The lobby, tea room, bar, and restaurant are all well-equipped, spacious, bright, and each has its unique charm. The guest rooms are clean and tidy, and the bedding is comfortable. The service is warm and attentive, from the welcome tea and snacks upon check-in 🍵 to the evening cocktails 🍸 and the rich and exquisite breakfast in the morning – full of warmth. The exclusive Kaiyuan Temple guided tour was lively and engaging, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the thousand-year-old temple's stories and Quanzhou's history and culture. I look forward to bringing my kids next time to experience the tatami ancient tower room type. 😁

Five-star review! The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. There's also a cozy little bar on the first floor. The room itself was comfortable and inviting, and the bed was incredibly soft. It's very close to Kaiyuan Temple and the Bell Tower, right on West Street, so there are tons of local snacks right outside the door. I hope they can add some buckwheat or latex pillows in the future for those of us with neck issues, haha!

Xijie Hangshe boasts an excellent location, right on West Street, and just a 5-minute walk to Kaiyuan Temple. The building is a typical Southern Fujian red-brick ancient house, rustic and spacious, and the third-floor terrace is perfect for photos. Despite being in a bustling area, it's tucked away in an alley, making it very quiet. The service is thoughtful; the front desk provides detailed guides, and there are daily breakfast and late-night sweet soups. Overall, it's a high-quality guesthouse with a prime location, unique character, and great service. Highly recommended for visitors to Quanzhou.

The room layout was fantastic, and the view from the window was lovely. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. The hotel breakfast was abundant, and the lady who explained the services was very enthusiastic and professional. The complimentary cocktails and tea tasting were also a great touch. It was a truly memorable and experiential trip.

Coming back from an evening stroll around West Street, a little tipsy, made for an even better night's sleep.

If you're coming to Quanzhou and want to deeply experience the ancient city's vibe, you can't go wrong with this place.

It's truly wonderful to find such a comfortable hotel within Quanzhou's ancient city walls, right in Xijie. As soon as we arrived, the staff arranged tea and fruit for us, which was a fantastic touch. While out with my wife looking for food, we unexpectedly stumbled upon a Jay Chou-themed rooftop concert, which was amazing! Back in the room that night, the bed was so soft and comfortable! Even as someone who struggles with sleep, I actually snuck a peek at the brand, planning to buy one for my own home! It was a truly great stay. The breakfast the next morning was also very exquisite. Big thanks to all the staff at the hotel!

The room I booked was clean and tidy, but the best part was definitely the balcony. There's also a small bar next to the front desk, perfect for a cocktail or two in the evening – really sets a great vibe. Next time I'm in West Street, I'm definitely staying here again.

Not wasting time on commuting allows you to truly immerse yourself in the slow-paced life of old Quanzhou. 2. **Full of Ancient Charm, Every Detail Reflects Minnan Flavor** The moment I checked in, I was captivated. It's not the generic hotel style, but a genuine traditional house with rich texture. The wooden tables and chairs feel warm and substantial, and the old Minnan artifacts hanging on the walls are a constant delight. Every corner exudes an authentic old Quanzhou vibe, making you feel like a local resident the moment you step in, and your tense nerves immediately relax. 3. **A Room Overlooking the East and West Pagoda Spires, Filled with Quanzhou's Everyday Life** My room happened to have a small balcony.
