Premier Inn Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Builyeon Rd, Queensferry, EH30 9YJ, United Kingdom
Show on Map
On the shore of the Firth of Forth, Queensferry is situated ten miles to the north of Edinburgh. So the Premier Inn Hotel Edinburgh (South Queensferry) is the ideal base for venturing into Scotland's first city, or for exploring the majestic landscape of the Lothians. Queensferry has some puzzling traditions, like the procession of the Burry Man and the annual dip in the Firth of Forth. But there are plenty of other things to do, such as a visit to the Georgian splendour of Hopetoun House or Dundas Castle. There are lots of business venues and good transport links. Once you're done for the day, come back to great food at our Brewers Fayre restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.Show More

Good location. Close to famous bridge. I was luck to see from my room the bridge during the night which was lovely. Good value for money. As the restaurant down do anymore buffet breakfast just made to order I have chosen to eat outside. Close you will find McDonald and M&S food. The village itself has a lot of restaurant and take aways. I did enjoy the stay. Room comfortably, well equipped and clean. Free parking onsite although don't forget to register you car registration in the cctv system while checking in.

Fantastic location, welcoming staff and beautiful scenery. The room was comfortable and spacious and the staff went above and beyond to make our first visit to Scotland a memorable one. Sandra and Christina were extremely helpful and arranged a room on a second floor so we could have the best view of the bridge and water. The staff catered to our needs and were sensitive to our religious beliefs with alcohol at the brewers fayre - providing us with food to our room. Thank you.

I don't expect luxury from the PI but I do expect cleanliness and helpful staff. Our room was not clean at all. Staff, mainly in the adjacent restaurant, were slow and unattentive. Also our keycards never worked so we constantly had to queue at reception to get them reset- seemed to be a common problem with other guests too. Also toilet seat only half screwed on to toilet and extractor fan in bathroom not working. Disappointing as normally PI can do these basics right.

This hotel is sub standard to most Premier Inns I have stayed in over a number of years, lacking customer appeal in a number of areas. The exterior, and to be fair it is shared with other outlets , is not kept in a very tidy manner, and does not give a very good impression of what is to come. The entrance to our room is shared by the entrance to the restaurant and is grubby and in need of a clean and upgrade. Our room had a very dirty shower with black grime on the shower door track, grubby tile grout, and a hygienically unclean toilet seat. There was damage to one of the room walls, a very stained easy chair in the room, and both bins although emptied out had themselves not been cleaned for some time. We ate in the restaurant on our first night - the staff were run off their feet with one person dealing with drinks, food orders, and attending to guests as they arrived. A refurb is required to make this a welcoming space, along with producing some better food. The 2 girls working the restaurant were very good and as efficient as they could be under the circumstances. Having spent 3 days the previous week at Premier Inn in Keswick which provided a first class environment to stay in South Queensferry was a very big let down and prompted my first official complaint to Premier Inn. Friendly staff. Stayed in room 208. Room comfortable with nice large bed. Bathroom clean. View across carpark to the 3 bridges. Carpark can be noisy with traffic, but a fan in the room drowned out any noise that may awake you which was great. Nicely decorated room and great location for transport links. Can't fault it at all. Would stay again.

Great base for traveling in/out of Edinburgh, bus stop just across the road & the 43 takes you straight into Princess St in about 1/2 hour for £3. The room was clean, no noise & staff were friendly/helpful, we didn't book breakfast but getting it wasn't a problem at the Beefeater joined on.
