Copthorne Hotel and Apartments Queenstown Lakeview

I stayed for four nights, but my room type was changed once in the middle. I'm not sure why Ctrip automatically adjusted it. Both rooms were lake-view. The second one was a two-bedroom suite, very spacious with two large balconies, which I was quite happy with. The heating at night was also very good. The bedding was comfortable, and I slept well. It's about a 20-minute walk to the town center. Rooms in Queenstown are generally quite expensive, so this one was acceptable.

The hotel environment is great if the weather is good, and it offers good value for money. Facilities: The lobby has a terrace with direct views of the snow-capped mountains and Lake Wakatipu. The king-size rooms also have terraces, while the twin rooms don't offer much of a view. There are two toilets, but only one shower. The rooms are split-level, so it might not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

The hotel offers stunning lake views right outside the window. Across the lake, the mountains are perpetually capped with snow and shrouded in mist, creating a truly majestic sight. On the other side of the road, you'll find peach and pear blossoms, a beautiful contrast of spring flowers against the white snow. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

The hotel's location is great, not far from Queenstown city center, making it convenient for getting around. The rooms are spacious and generally clean and tidy, with some offering views of the lake and mountains. While the facilities aren't the newest, they are practical and comfortable, making it suitable for families. Overall, it offers good value for money.

The accommodation in Queenstown was worse than in the cities before and after it. The towel rack was almost at the ceiling, which isn't great for shorter people, but it wasn't a major issue. We stayed for two nights, and the sheets weren't changed on the second day, even after we specifically requested it. The shower didn't even have a curtain, so the entire bathroom floor got wet every time we showered. The showerhead was also completely unadjustable. (Another room we stayed in previously had a shower curtain and an adjustable showerhead). It was very obvious that the floor and walls inside were full of mold, which was quite off-putting.

Very convenient for the ski slopes, the environment is great, and the location is good too, making it easy to get to town. The price is also very reasonable, and the staff are very patient. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location with lake views. You can walk to the lake in just a few minutes and Queen's Garden is only a ten-minute stroll away. The room has a large bed, perfect for a family of three.

The scenery is breathtaking; opening the door reveals Lake Wakatipu and the snowy mountains, creating a dreamlike, picturesque view. However, the facilities are a bit dated, and the hotel itself feels quite old.

Booked a lake-view room for 1400/night, and it was nothing like the pictures. I asked the front desk to switch rooms, but the Japanese and Caucasian staff members were incredibly rude. They told me there were no other rooms available and that the hotel was fully booked. I also asked for a room with a kitchenette and was told there were none. They then suggested that if I wasn't satisfied, I could check out tomorrow morning and deal with the booking platform for a refund. To top it off, the cups in the room weren't even clean. I've never encountered a hotel like this before – everyone, avoid this place at all costs!!!
