We loved this unique, historic property, the airy, modern room, and the care the staff provided. The hotel is immaculate, the breakfast is delicious, and they took special care to make sure our 10 year old felt special. We came back to a clean room one afternoon and found the staff had staged his stuffed animals in an embrace on the pillow. Highly recommend.

Definitely not a 4* hotel, low 3 at best. Avoid the hugely overpriced breakfast at €19 the whole buffet wouldn’t cost that. We were shown to our room by the handyman who later stated there was no white wine on the premises for a Kir as I say no way a 4* hotel, very disappointing.

Lovely small hotel. Rooms brand new, sparkling clean, with every modern convenience, secure parking within steps of the hotel entrance. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and historic landmarks, including the magnificent cathedral and museums. Very friendly staff! Wonderful small hotel!

Lovely, serene setting away from the bustle of town, but still walkable. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms very well appointed.

This privately owned hotel is in a quiet and unique part of Quimper, 10 minutes maximum walking distance along the river Odet from the town centre. It is a beautifully converted listed building with spacious rooms in the main building and compact split-level accommodation in a row of 6 small adjacent 'houses'. The owners have tastefully decorated everywhere combining modern art works with very comfortable furnishings. We spent 5 nights in a suite, the bed was fabulous and housekeeping was amazing! Warm thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. The owners were very present and everyone was friendly and helpful. There is no bar or restaurant (2 bars and 2 restaurants very close!) but a selection of drinks can be served in the lounge. One evening we ordered a platter of cheese and charcuterie to eat in our room - wow! Breakfast is tasty and very well presented, "full English" is not offered but not needed when freshly scrambled eggs can be enjoyed if the fruits, pastries, breads etc. are not enough! There is a private car park and a spacious outdoor area which must be delightful in warm weather.

I am a frequent traveller and know well the French standards. I was very surprised that this hotel was given 4 stars. My room (the “standard” one) was very poor in terms of layout (very uncomfortable on two floors - and there are NO PICTURES of this on the website, only of higher standard rooms) and available towels, soap, etc. For me it was like being in a single 2-star room. Probably the huge difference between standard and best rooms should be better communicated, I would have changed gladly my room or even better booked directly a better one. However the cost and the 4-star qualification for sure do not match with the level of the standard rooms. Also, I seldom make reviews and when I read the many good ones about this hotel, I would bet them to be made addressing the superior or best rooms, for sure not the standard ones. I also note that the owner/manager does not like comments (there are many, similar to this, and probably this is due to the very low level of standard rooms) and tend to reply in a fancy manner being aggressive and taking it personally against the clients who make these reviews mainly to help with a better standard. I must add that I had already noted also the owner/manager to be very rude and dismissive with another client’s claim during my stay. She was a lady and he made a very “machista” comment to the reception person whi had got the claim. Very bad behavior in my view. I think that a respectful behavior and good manners should be a prerequisite to “hotellerie”… So I suggest the French people/entities who attribute stars and Tripadvisor to review this hotel (at least as regards the way standard rooms are made and furnished); the owner to communicate more transparently and honestly with pictures the real (poor, 2-star) level of such rooms; and again the owner to learn from his colleagues how to treat clients and their views with respect.

Had a two day break here and really recommend the place. Great location to the town . Only a 8 min walk to the centre. Really good bedrooms and the showers are super. Fabulous breakfast with a great selection. Very welcoming at the reception desk . Free on site parking also

We paid 190 € for a standard comfort room, so the cheapest one. ok we didn't get a suite but even the standard room should have been at the level of a four star hotel anyway, shouldn’t it? in reality, had I booked at Ibis, I would have got the same quality and spent less than half. The room, reachable only by leaving the hotel as it was not part of the main structure, where there were superior rooms and suites, was absolutely bare, with an uncomfortable loft bed, with basic and low quality furnishings. there wasn't even a natural courtesy bottle of water. The hotel lobby was also very anonymous and honestly a bit depressing. Clean, tidy, extremely simple and without any additional services: just like an Ibis. Too bad we paid 190 € for one night (breakfast not included). 13 minutes walk from the cathedral, so not even centrally located. I wonder frankly how it can be cataloged as a four-star, they should review it without doubt. pure madness.

We stayed two nights recently and enjoyed the hotel very much. We had room 14 which is in the main building and had a view overlooking the river and the public garden. The bed was a king, very comfortable and it had a nice walk-in shower. The hotel is set in an old abbey but is very modern. They have a pleasant courtyard patio with tables in a garden and there was also a large deck on our floor for sitting outside. There’s good off street parking and the hotel is close to restaurants and shops but on the opposite of the river from most of the town so access is easy. They have a delicious breakfast buffet with lots of selection. It’s close to the Henriot factory and the pottery museum. We had wonderful assistance from staff, Oliver, Manon, and Louna and we appreciated their suggestions and kindness. We would recommend this hotel highly.
