Hotel Boutique Villa de Sant Refugio de Relajacion

This is a beautiful and well-run boutique hotel in Quito. I stayed here for three nights in total and was extremely comfortable. The rooms were clean, beds are superb and there is plenty of space for storing clothes etc. The walls throughout the hotel are beautifully decorated by a local artist with murals of local people and animals. The hotel is located in the La Mariscal district, and is close to some excellent restaurants as well as a lot of nightlife. I wouldn't want to walk around the area as a solo woman at night so I recommend eating dinner at the hotel or taking a taxi, even for short distances. The hotel itself is in a secure complex behind locked gates, and it was very quiet at night despite being so close to the nightlife district. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. He absolutely went out of his way to make me comfortable. He has excellent English skills, though some of the other staff have very little English so make sure you have Google Translate ready if you speak no Spanish. Food here was really great. Portion sizes at breakfast and dinner are generous, and I had a delicious glass of local wine with my dinner as well. If you are leaving too early for breakfast, they will pack you a take-away meal instead. The water supply in the bathrooms was a bit dodgy, as at some times there was no hot water and there was some leakage around the shower cubicle that flooded my bathroom a bit. My only other gripe was that when I checked out and was settling my bill for dinner, they were unable to take card payment and had no change in cash, so I ended up having to overpay for my meal. It left a slightly sour taste after an otherwise excellent stay.

would give this place more stars if I could. Villa De Sant is truly an amazing and incredibly comfortable hotel with a really cool vibe and beautiful artwork throughout the space. From the moment you walk in, it feels welcoming and relaxing. The best part of the experience has been Freddy at the front desk. He is honestly one of the sweetest and kindest people and easily the best front desk staff member l've ever experienced at any hotel. He goes far above and beyond what is normally expected, always being warm, helpful, and genuinely caring about guests. He really makes you feel at home and taken care of and even checked on me when I was away on a group tour before returning back here. They make your breakfast fresh every morning and it's excellent, with good, strong coffee to get your day started haha. Everyone who works here is just so kind and welcoming, and the whole team creates an atmosphere that feels more like family than a hotel. The evening manager is just as warm and charming as Freddy and always helpful. Everyone here has a smile whenever you see them and check on you to make sure everything is good. Highly recommend staying here if you want a comfortable place with a great atmosphere and truly wonderful people. Centrally located, super easy walk to the Mercado Artesanal and really cheap to Uber everywhere else.

Beautiful building and friendly staff

From the moment I booked my stay at this property, I was already in constant communication with Freddy at the front desk for whatever questions I may have. Freddy set up my hotel pick both ways. It was easy and comfortable. Javier was also punctual as much as he can. I took the tram to the mountains to see the views of Quito then spent 4 hrs at the Middle of the World park. On my last day, Javier and I walked around Old Town & visited the Basilicas. Such a beautiful & clean city! Villa De Sant is perfectly located a few steps from the Artisanal market as well. Breakfast was free & great. At one point for my Cotopaxi trip, Diego (night shift) cooked me breakfast since I had to leave early for the tour. Hotel has a more personable family vibe. Very relaxing & comfortable. I didn’t feel unsafe even walking around the neighborhood. Lobby has lots of character depicting Ecuador on the paintings. Highly recommend this place when in Quito!

It’s a unique old house in downtown Quito. Freddie and Diego were very accommodating on any request. It’s well located in Quito but is much calmer than its surroundings. Food was good too.

Fantastic customer service, Freddy from the front desk reached out early to see if I needed anything. He arranged an airport transfer for me. Even going as far as sending me a picture of the car that will be picking me up. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The walls were painted with murals that incorporated the room features (small windows,.etc) creating a very cozy atmosphere. Overall great experience. I only stayed here one night, but would definitely return (or stayed longer had schedule permitted)

The hotel is beautiful and well located. But what makes this place really stand out is the personal service. Freddy, Diego and their team made us feel like staying with friends. In addition, the rooms we rented were spacious and beautiful. If your looking for a chain hotel that looks the same as in every other city, maybe this id not for you. But if you’re looking for a charming place with artistic reminders that you’re in Ecuador, you won’t be disappointed. We will be back.

They treated me like family at the Villa De Sant Hotel Boutique! The food was excellent, and the staff was always helpful and friendly. I highly recommend!
