This is a very modern and stylish hotel, extremely convenient for the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the historic city centre. Despite its proximity to the centre, it’s actually in quite a quiet location. The bedrooms are well insulated for sound, so we heard very little noise from the station or outside generally. The hotel overall, including the rooms, are decorated and furnished in a contemporary, “corporate” style, which some may find lacks charm. But the lobby, bar and restaurant are smartly decorated with good quality materials and artistic touches. The room was functional but very clean, efficient and comfortable. We stayed for a few nights and felt the hotel was welcoming and safe. I would give the restaurant 4 out of 5. It provided a very good, typically Swiss buffet breakfast and a pleasant pasta meal on our first evening. It was very quiet and we enjoyed friendly, personal service. However, on another evening, the Caesar salad was underwhelming. Our server was kept very busy as the restaurant was very full and there was, let’s say, a misunderstanding, about our wine order, which resulted in us paying quite a bit more than we expected. The city centre is very historic, interesting and attractive to wander around. There’s plenty of choice of restaurants and cafes. From the main station you can reach the Rheinfalls via two alternative local stations - Schloss Laufen and Neuhausen Rheinfall. You can also take a train along the Rhine valley to places like Stein am Rhein and lake Konstanz, or get to Zurich quite easily.

The breakfast was good, with instant noodles to eat. Friends with children, please note that if you choose a double room, especially if it includes two breakfasts, regardless of whether the second adult will eat or not, as long as you take the children to eat, you will be charged 10 Swiss francs for the breakfast for children, because the room The included breakfast is for adults.

I had to stay in Zurich for one night because the time of my arrival was too late to take a train home. The hotel is perfectly located (2.5 Km away from the airport) and you can easily get to it by train or bus or taxi. The room was really comfortable and clean. It had a safe, a TV, a fridge with water and a cozy bed, plus wardrobe. Breakfast was very nice, too. Staff was professional, kind and helpful.

Are you a business traveller seeking a comfortable place to stay with good service at a reasonable price? Then B&B Hotel Rumlang is hard to beat. I stay here regularly and I find the value, the quality of the rooms, facilities and services very good for the price per night. I know that when I arrive here, a comfortable bed, a clean room with simple offerings, and a good nights rest is what is waiting for me. It isn't the Hilton, but that's not what I am expecting - easy access to work, quiet nights rest in a cosy atmosphere at an affordable price, is. Siamo partiti venerdi sera per winterthur con tutta la famiglia (2adulti e 2 bambini (6/3). L' ostello si trova in una zona tranquilla e facile da trovare. Ci hanno accolto con gentilezza e con molta professionalita. La persona ha cercato anche di parlare in italiano ed è stato molto apprezzato. Visto che siamo giuti con la macchina, ci sono state proposte 2 possibilità: una variante da 9.- al coperto o una variante da 5.- all aperto. Entrambe le soluzioni a pochi passi dall ostello. Noi abbiamo optato per il coperto. Conviene annunciarsi, in quanto pochi posti disponibili. La stanza che abbiamo preso noi era una quadrupla (2 letti a castello + letto matrimoniale) con doccia e wc in camera. Per una famiglia è la soluzione ottimale. Stanza confortevole, molto grandi, pulita e molto ben arredata (antico con moderno). A me sono piaciute molte le travi a vista, in quanto la stanza era in un soppalco all ultimo piano. Ho dormito molto bene. Abbastanza insonorizzato, eventualmente alla reception forniscono i tappi. Abbiamo scelto l opzione con colazione, e al mattino abbiamo potuto fare in cucina la colazione. Bello che si ha la possibilita di scegliare vare opzioni di colazione: budjet, mini, standard, ... cosi ognuno può scegliere quale aggrada di piu! Inoltre è a disposizione una cucita ben fornita, per scaldare, per mettere in frigo, cucinare. La scelta di questo ostello è stato veramente vincente e siano stati molto contenti. Consiglio a tutti! Anche con bambini piccoli. Il prezzo è assolutamente basso e ne vale la pena, sopratutto per coloro che come noi vogliono magari sono visitare in un giorno il museo technorama o la citta.

Booked a standard room for two nights at Sorell Hotel Rüden in early April 2023. Charming boutique hotel in the city center of Schaffhausen. It is a short walk to/from the train station. I checked-in after 8:00 pm. Good check-in/out experience. The guest agent that handled my check-in was friendly and thorough. Great customer service skills! My room was cozy and clean. Neither a kettle nor coffee machine is a standard room amenity. Overall my stay at Sorell Hotel Rüden was decent. The reception desk closes at 10 pm.

Swiss budget motels are better than most American 3+ star hotels. Tram is seconds from hotel. Tram cost 2.70 Swiss Franc one-way (May 2023). Less than 20 minutes from Lake Zurich. Room was good enough size for one short night before the airport. Laundry on-site. Food/drink vending machine in lobby.

I stayed in a pod after arriving back on a late flight, instead of driving home at midnight. The pod was nice, very comfortable. The temperature was marginally too warm for me however, and you can't change the settings. That's where the positive experience ended. My phone charging port didn't work - that's fine - I can overlook that, but it's not ideal I was woken at 4.30am by people getting up and ready for the early morning flights. They were crashing and banging around with the doors and fiddling around with their luggage. Ultimately I couldn't get back to sleep because of the continued crashing and banging and ultimately only got 3.45 hrs sleep (I know this because my fitness tracker tells me so). So it was completely pointless staying - I would have got a better night's sleep at home with my 3 year old and 10 month old in the room next door. I believe the hotel's model doesn't work for the following reasons: 1) Each pod has a door with a very noisy latch. The latch doesn't have to be noisy if people are considerate, but a lot of people aren't considerate at the best of times, let alone at 4am in the morning when getting up for an early flight. It's all well and good to have lots of signs saying ”shh!” On the walls, but most people don't see it, or at least it doesn't sink in. I stayed in a capsule hotel on Japan that has roller blinds instead of doors, which are much quieter 2) people are allowed to bring their luggage into the sleeping space. This invites people to fiddle around with their luggage, which disturbs others from their sleep. Again, in the pod hotel in Japan, people must lock their luggage in lockers in the changing rooms, and are not allowed to take anything into the sleeping space - it works much better 3) the hotel has plenty of separate rooms, with a number of pods in each. Why not allocate guests to rooms by their time of arrival and departure, so that late arrivers don't disturb early departures, and vice versa? Overall, if the above 3 things are fixed, I'd probably stay again, but otherwise, definitely not
