What a fantastic experience. Beautiful setting, fantastic rooms and tremendous staff. The room was very large with a fabulous bed and bathroom. Lovely news from.the balcony. The pool and surround were calm, clean and dreamy. A fantastic place to relax. We were welcomed by the staff and they were there to help with anything you needed. The restaurant served fresh , tasty meals. A little bit of paradise!!

We spent 3 nights here whilst taking trips into the rainforest. It’s in a magical location, high up on a hill overlooking the rainforest. Whilst we were there, there were spectacular rain storms in the afternoon and early evening, which I absolutely loved watching from the verandah of the property. The property itself was clean and tidy, and our room was simple but perfectly acceptable. The mattress wasn’t particularly good, but it was ok for the time we spent there. Food was pretty good, but given that every meal is taken at the property (there is nothing else around), the menu becomes a bit repetitive after 3 days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tuk tuk rides to the forest entrance were provided, and they also organised our transfer to the next destination. I think the options for accommodation close to the rainforest entrance are pretty limited, and I would certainly recommend Jansen’s Bungalow.

its a hidden gem. Worth the every penny u spent. Very friendly staff with delicious food..calm and quiite place to enjoy the nature . Any one who have gone there will definitely love to go there again.. U can enjoy the real beauty of a tropical rainforest there

Nice location, very quit. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nice, but they could be cleaned better, as well as the main lounge area. There's also a lack of maintenance: lamps are broken along the path to the river, concrete rot in the pool. Internet wasn't very good. Food in general was ok, but avoid the seafood. It was cooked too long and was very tough, not eatable. The Sri Lankan food was good. All in all a nice place for one night.

Went with 5 other friends and this place was amazing. The staff is super helpful and the lunch was absolutely superb. (They served rice with 4 vege dishes and 1 meat dish.) you can take any extra meats as well, and they will prepare that for you. - the food is a real treat so highly recommended to do so! We brought required ingredients (meat, bread, charcoal pack +++) for a BBQ in the night, and the staff did a pretty good job, BBQing and serving whilst we relaxed. The rooms have both AC and a Fan option, and most other guests seemed to be having a great time as well. They have a pool as well, and there is a nearby waterfall with natural pools where you can take dip in. The staff will help to guide you/take you there. An absolute gem, I really will visit again.

From the booking to the end it was a fantastic service from Niron Janson and his local mates. The environment was so calm with out huzzle buzzle .It is place is absolutly retreat. The sri lanken food was especialaly cooked by locals and realy great.

Beautiful location, authentic Sri Lankan food and other food, great facilities, best Sri Lankan hospitality with energetic young staff! Best place to reconnect with nature with access to guided tours to one of the purest and ancient primary forests left in this planet. We enjoyed many water streams and a few small water falls.. Nights were magical with no light pollution.and surrounded by fireflies.. Mornings were great with listening to the birds and trees.. Was lucky to listen to this magnificent forest in a monsoon rain! It’s beyond words… Definitely a retreat. Please leave your phone away when you visit this place!

We stayed here with my Fiancé and Parents. The location is beautiful. The buildings looked a little tired overall however parts were being renovated. The water in my parent's room did not work initially however this was addressed when we pointed it out. The rooms were not serviced and this was not offered or even mentioned. The head Chef, who was also doubling as Manager, was amazing however the rest of the staff did not seem that proactive. There were rarely any staff in the main Bungalow, which seemed to be the main focal point, and we needed to go searching for staff to get help with anything. The Head Chef arranged an amazing cooking demonstration of local food which was our dinner one night. This was undoubtedly one of the best local meals we ate all holiday. This place has a lot of potential however it needs some work.

One of the very best places I ever visited ..! Can’t explain enough about this heavenly place..! Everything was just so perfect.! If u want to just disconnect from your busy lifestyle and listen to the nature if ur a nature love this is the place .this place is very much peaceful and u can actually relax. I went with my two daughters stay was unbelievable, food was just so perfect and loved everything about this place , the pool was so clean and nature pool was something I can never forget .! Finally I must thank the crew there .. they are extra friendly & so professional.!
