Travelodge Reading Whitley

It was a late arrival for me and my friend but the blow was cushioned expeditiously by Awais. Very understanding, calm and reassuring attendant/emoloyee, whom I have much respect for. Thankyou for the kind welcome and service.

Very impressed with the friendly staff and willingness to help us out. In particular Awais. We had parcels delivered to the hotel, enabling work to be completed which would’ve had to be done a week later.

Disappointed AGAIN.... Being a semi regular visitor. Due to location and easy. Beds stained. Carpet stained. Mouldy bathroom and the regular lovely smell of the "green" flowing down the corridors. Outside looked like someone had been playing tik tak toe with human phlegm. The staff as always where helpfully and apologetic. It's shame as this used to be so much better and a nice convenient place to stay. Lace is outdated with key locks that can be a struggle to open. They always say pay cheap pay twice. Common Travelodge sort your place out...

Nasir greeted us very pleasantly and helpfully. He carried our luggage upstairs. We highly recommend him.The hotel is very comfortable with plenty of parking and presents good value for money

Two stars, one for parking and one for transport links into Reading. Arrived late afternoon quickly checked in and went off into Reading. On arriving back to the room, we noticed the heavily stained carpet made worse by the stickiness under my husband’s bare foot, thankfully I had slippers . All high touch surfaces had fingers marks and brown coloured stains/splatters on them. Whilst we are happy to stay in a worn bathroom, the mould on the hole in the sink overflow, the blocked plug hole/drain in the bath and the mould and brown hand print stain on the shower curtain was nothing short of disgusting! On our return from Reading at 10 pm we had asked for an extra pillow. 10 minutes he said I will bring it to you. This did not arrive, off went my husband to get the pillow and express our concerns about the room. Only to find the employee sat with his feet up on his mobile telephone. We said no more. On checkout this morning there was not a member of staff to speak to. Such a shame, I should point out we regularly use Travelodge, what a disappointment! Also we have stayed at Heston travelodge in the past which had a lot of negative reviews but which we found to be clean and tidy.

First time at this Travelodge and I was quite impressed. It was cheap, the room was massive and clean. Parking was good and free. Pub on site but there are restaurants close by. Already booked next stay!
