Hotel near the rail station and at the edge of the city centre. We were fortunate to secure a car park space in the hotel’s own car park although initially the staff said that it was full and we had to park nearby. The room was reasonably large. The breakfast was OK but the hot food was slightly disappointing during the first two mornings but improved on the day we checked out.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Reims train station, but reaching it was more challenging than expected. You need to exit the station through a specific platform exit that’s not easy to find, as there is little to no signage. We took the wrong exit, which added an extra 15 minutes to our walk to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were quite surprised by the reception—or rather, the lack of a traditional one. It consists of just a small coffee table with a single computer, where one staff member manages both check-ins and check-outs while constantly running back and forth to assist guests. Initially, I thought this was just a secondary station and that a more formal reception area existed elsewhere, but that wasn't the case. I couldn’t understand how one staff member could handle all the guests with such limited resources, especially during busy periods. I suspect it could easily become chaotic during peak hours. The room itself was quite small, and breakfast was not included in the rate. However, the hotel had an interesting offer: if we opted not to have housekeeping during our stay, they provided two complimentary glasses of champagne. We were happy with this arrangement, as we usually prefer not to have anyone enter our room during a short stay. We did enjoy our two glasses of champagne at the bar after dinner, which was a nice touch. That said, with no breakfast included, there might be better value options available in the area. It's also worth noting that finding a place for breakfast near the hotel wasn’t easy, with limited options within a 5-minute walk.

BIEN QUE L HOTEL NE SOIT PAS TRES ELOIGNE DE LA GARE IL RESTE CEPENDANT PAS TRES FACILE A TROUVER. MEME SI LE BATIMENT N EST PAS DES PLUS BELLES ARCHITECTURES, L INTERIEUR EST PARFAIT? BON ACCEUIL ET LES CHAMBRES SONT VRAIMENT TOP, GRANDES, UNE CHAMBRE ET UN SALON COIN CUISINE ET LE TOUT TRES PRORE. UN PETIT BALCON DANS CHACUNE DES PIECES? LE PETIT DEJEUNER... PLUS QUE CORRECT ET LE TOUT POUR UN PRIX DEFIANT TOUTES CONCURENCES JE RECOMMANDE VRAIMENT CET APPART HOTEL

Do consider staying at this hotel if you’re visiting Reims with a car. With a 7-minute drive from the city center, you get a more spacious room with facilities much more than a 3-star. We couldn’t manage to arrive on time for check-in, but they have kindly found out an alternative to work it out. Attached photo displays the outdoor patio to our room!

Reims is a small city, so I went around around the hotel. The bathroom was a little small, but I was satisfied and had a good rest as the price was reasonable.

Brand guarantee is very important. I was just staying in Reims for one night, so the first choice was free and safe parking, which is still very important in Europe today. The Mercure in the same courtyard starts at more than 1,000, which is very cost-effective, and breakfast and other things can be overcome.

Cheap, clean, on the outskirts of town across from a mc Donald’s and a 3 mile walk from the cathedral. Quiet at night, secure parking, ideal if you have a motorcycle as it’s in a locked compound. Slept well, bed comfy and shower good and hot. Excellent value, easy to find on Apple Maps. Would come again.

Guest UserCheck-in at Hôtel des Arcades was easy, and the staff were helpful, friendly and very welcoming, which made a good first impression. The room itself was fine, although it was warm. However, the bathroom was disappointing. Taking a shower felt a little like being in a caravan, with the curtain touching the toilet, and once the shower had been used the toilet area was wet. The door also did not close properly. Overall, the hotel could definitely do with some TLC. Given its location in such a great city, a few thoughtful touches, such as photographs or local artwork on the walls, would really help give the place more character and make it feel more connected to its surroundings.

Simple, and practical for a short stay. Quiet surroundings. Parking near the entrance, breakfast in the main building, which was acceptable. Bathroom had a bath and shower in it. The glass to avoid splashing doesn't work, since it is far too small and the bathroom floor gets wet and one risks falling. In all not a bad hotel for the price charged.
