We specifically chose the InterContinental Resort at Heilongtan for our May Day holiday, and the overall experience was incredibly satisfying. I truly give it a five-star recommendation! The hotel's location is superb, directly facing the Heilongtan lake. The lush greenery means the air is fresh, and the resort grounds are quiet and serene, making walks around the lake extremely pleasant. The lobby is grand and elegant, and the overall environment really gives off a high-end resort vibe. We booked a family room which our child absolutely loved. The room was spacious and clean, and the facilities were well-maintained. The bedding was comfortable, ensuring a very restful sleep. The bathroom was wet/dry separated, and both the hot water and water pressure were stable, making for maximum comfort during our stay. The staff provided meticulous and polite service; check-in and check-out were efficient, and the shuttle bus was available on call. A special shout-out to Light for being very responsive to our needs. The entire experience was very pleasant. The hotel's amenities are perfect for a family vacation. The swimming pool, water park, and children's play areas are comprehensive. There's also a lakeside walking trail and lawn for relaxation, ensuring both adults and children can have a great time. It's rare to have such a wonderful stay during a May Day trip. The environment, service, dining, and facilities were all excellent, and it offers great value for money. We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Heilongtan!

Had a fantastic trip! The hotel consistently maintained its high standards. My whole family stayed here, and we practiced Baduanjin (a form of Qigong) both mornings, followed by a swim. The breakfast was quite good, and we were very satisfied with the service throughout our stay. Truly lives up to the InterContinental brand!

I'm giving the service a 1-star rating, not because the staff (literally 'younger sisters') were bad, but because they were *too* friendly, to the point where I felt the hotel was over-servicing in some areas. From 9 AM when I came down for breakfast, I saw staff members standing in the lobby in high heels. When I left at 2 PM, there were still staff standing in the lobby. It gave the impression that they were being punished and made to stand there. I suggested to the front desk that there's no need for them to stand in the middle of the lobby. If a customer needs assistance, they'll go to the service counter. They could totally sit at the service counter and only stand up to serve customers when needed. Most customers with questions will still go directly to the front desk anyway. I recommend that the managers who assign and require staff to wear high heels and stand in the lobby should also go stand in the lobby in high heels themselves, to experience if it's really necessary.

The lake-view rooms boast an unparalleled vista, especially at sunset when the sky meets the lake, creating an incredibly atmospheric scene. It's a paradise for kids! With a children's playground, water park, indoor and outdoor pools, and children's wading pools of varying depths, there's year-round fun to be had. Plus, there are plenty of family-friendly activities like lakeside cycling, fishing, and DIY workshops, ensuring both adults can relax and kids can play to their heart's content. The service is top-notch, truly five-star, with dedicated butlers like Dou Dou who are quick to respond and efficient in resolving any issues. The staff are warm and attentive, proactively reminding guests about activities and helping with itinerary planning. During the off-season, it offers great value for money, with packages including breakfast and hot spring/park tickets for an incredibly worthwhile experience. The buffet breakfast is extensive, featuring both Chinese and Western options, with the noodle station and desserts being particular favorites. Facilities like the indoor hot springs, sauna, outdoor infinity pool, and tennis courts are all well-maintained and in excellent condition. Overall, it's a quiet and comfortable retreat, perfect for family or couple weekend getaways.

The room is quite spacious with a small balcony and a sofa. The environment is also very good.

This time, I stayed at the InterContinental Paradise Resort Chengdu Black Dragon Lake with my child, and it was the ultimate 'effortless parenting' experience. The sheer variety of parent-child activities exceeded my expectations, with everything from dining to accommodation and entertainment all in one place. No extra planning was needed, making it incredibly convenient! The hotel's parent-child facilities are top-notch, covering both indoor and outdoor activities, offering a fresh experience every day. The Floch Family Club on the B1 level is a paradise for kids, with inflatable slides, a ball pit, a children's cinema, and staff leading crafts and interactive games, allowing parents to completely relax. There are 21 different indoor children's activities available for free every day of the week, including DIY workshops and an indoor archery range, which are great fun. The whole family can create crafts together or team up for archery competitions, making for joyful and warm memories. The outdoor activities were even more surprising! The water park boasts a huge infinity pool and a heated pool, perfect for summer fun and warm hot spring soaks in winter. There are also exciting activities like rice field fishing, duck catching in the water park, and kite DIY, keeping the kids entertained to no end. The live-action CS, children's go-karts, and ATVs are super cool, letting the little ones team up for 'battles' and race around tracks, unleashing speed and passion. The Happy Farm allows you to feed adorable animals and pick fruits and vegetables, which is a wonderfully meaningful way to connect with nature. On weekends, there's even a bubble party, with kids chasing and playing amidst a sky full of bubbles, creating an incredible atmosphere. The service details were also incredibly thoughtful. Before check-in, a butler contacted us in advance to address our needs. The family room was equipped with bed rails, a small toilet, children's toiletries, and a small tent – attention to detail was impeccable. The dining options were extensive; the buffet breakfast catered to everyone's tastes, and dinner even included special interactive activities for children, allowing parents to enjoy their meal in peace. Here, children can fully expend their energy, while parents can cycle around the lake and relax, immersing themselves in the beautiful lake and mountain scenery and quality family time. This is the top choice for parent-child holidays near Chengdu, highly recommended for families with kids. I'm already looking forward to coming back again!
