"The environment is great, very quiet, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing vacation. The front desk staff were all smiles, and the bellboy helped with luggage, so I didn't have to lift a finger the whole time. Check-in was super fast, and the air conditioning was excellent – it was already on and nice and cool when I arrived, which was a relief after being out in the heat. However, the soundproofing in the hotel is a bit lacking. When I checked in, there were kids with their parents next door, and their voices were quite loud, so I could hear the noise in my room. But the kids playing only lasted a little while, so it wasn't a major issue. If you prefer a bustling city center, you might want to look elsewhere; this hotel is better suited for those who enjoy a quiet and leisurely stay. Given the price, the value for money is excellent. 👌"

"I’ve noticed this hotel offering discounted promotions quite often, but I hesitated to book after reading some of the older reviews on Google Maps. However, a friend of mine recently stayed here and told me that if you get a room in the new building, it’s actually very nice and not like what those old reviews described. So, I decided to give it a try myself. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The parking area was clean and spacious. Before reaching the lobby, you’ll see the hotel’s café, which at first looks like a separate space, but it’s actually connected to the lobby with a confusing separate entrance. The entrance and lobby area were tidy and welcoming. The hallways, elevators, and stairs were all well-maintained. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the balcony was surprisingly large. Overall, the stay felt relaxing and restful. I genuinely slept well here. However, I have to deduct one star for a few things that could definitely be improved. 1. Deposit Policy During check-in, guests are required to leave a 500 THB deposit. That’s quite standard in Chiang Mai, so I don’t mind that part. But guests must keep the physical receipt to get the deposit back. If you lose it, you won’t be refunded. Honestly, this feels unnecessary. Why not just record the deposit in the system? It would be much more convenient for everyone. 2. Wi-Fi Access The Wi-Fi process was really inconvenient. To get the password, guests have to add the hotel’s official LINE account, send their phone number, and then wait for a reply from staff through chat. Nobody replied to my message, and even after I finished taking a shower, still no response. I had to go down to the lobby to ask in person. I don’t understand why they make it so complicated. Just post the password somewhere visible. What if international guests don’t have LINE? Every hotel offers free Wi-Fi nowadays without making it a hassle. 3. Swimming Pool Hours When I asked the staff what time the pool opens in the morning, I was told that it depends on when cleaning is finished. That’s not a proper answer. Guests should know the exact opening hours, especially since the pool is one of the amenities highlighted in the booking description. I’ve written all this in detail because, overall, I do like this hotel. It has a lot of potential. I understand it’s a budget-friendly place, and I don’t expect perfection, but with a few small improvements, it could easily become one of the best-value stays in Chiang Mai. For travelers who care about cleanliness, comfort, and affordability, B2 Resort Boutique & Budget Hotel is still a solid choice. Just be sure to request a room in the new building."

"The hotel room was lovely, and the gardens and pool area were beautiful. The reception service was extremely friendly, and the breakfast was nice, but a little bit focused on the Chinese guests (which was ok, but not for too many days). On the negative side, was the location which is a fair way from town and beside the freeway. The noise between rooms can at times be noticeable. All in all a great 3 nights"

"Overpriced for what it is. Quite an old hotel, was under minor renovation while I was there. Rooms are quite dated and are not as good as on pictures. Hotel has potential if well renovated, as it's in a quiet area with nature and has a rustic vibe. Few rooms, so almost no people are here. They should discount their prices by at least 40% while they are renovating. Plenty of hotels in Chiang Mai that offer way more for even less than this place. Hope they renovate and improve. Staff is nice and polite."

"Smart and tidy hotel on the Ping River. Hotel was quiet and is a 25 minute walk to old city. 10 minutes walk away are several busy night markets and good access to restaurants and street food. Foo Bakery 100m away do a solid breakfast of an Americano and eggs on sourdough for 95baht. Small pool."

"The room was great, very quaint and traditional. It's exactly the kind of hotel you should stay in when visiting Chiang Mai. The pool was absolutely fantastic; my daughter spent at least three hours a day there. We saw very few Chinese guests, which was a nice change from feeling like we were still traveling domestically 😂. The only downside was the breakfast, which was a bit monotonous. For guests staying a week or more, after the third day, you really run out of options. I'd suggest adding a live noodle station."

"very nice hotel! I stayed there 2 times. for the first time in a simple room with a shared bathroom, very good for your money. The second time was in a room with a bathroom and it was amazing. Clean, spacious, beautiful, lots of artifacts. The owner is a very pleasant person. I was very pleased that there is a kettle in the room and they make turmeric shots in the cafe, ideal for the morning. Of course, the location is very convenient! I recommend."

"Due to high season, we had to switch rooms mid-stay to an Executive King, which was quite spacious. It had a large bathtub on one half of the balcony. The room was in a corner, so the window view wasn't great. There were ants in several spots in the room; staff promptly took care of it, but new ants appeared again shortly after. If you don't need a bathtub, I'd recommend the Deluxe room instead."

"The most heavenly place, where I keep returning again and again. Perfect people, staff who are always ready to help and solve any problem. My favorite room with immaculate cleanliness. My beloved zoo, where I already have favorite animals, and which is kept very clean. Thank you to the zookeepers. The garden, which is becoming more and more beautiful and well-maintained. The breakfasts are still just as delicious. But the main thing is the feeling of peace and solitude. Thank you to everyone who created such beauty and continues to preserve it.
