Konvin Hotel by Reykjavik Keflavik Airport

This hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the airport. I came here after returning my rental car at Lotus. The Lotus staff helped call a metered taxi, but it was quite expensive—costing 3,900 ISK for just a few minutes' ride. The hotel offers an airport shuttle in the morning from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM (none after that), which costs 700 ISK per person and requires scanning a QR code to book and pay. The room and bathroom were both quite spacious, and the overall facilities were very good. The hotel has an on-site restaurant serving dinner; the prices were reasonable and the food was decent, plus there didn't seem to be any other dining options nearby. Best of all, we saw the Northern Lights right from the hotel! Even though there are quite a few lights around the property, there's an open grassy area downstairs where you can watch the aurora if it appears. We also caught beautiful sunrises and sunsets—a huge plus!

The room was pretty standard overall, suitable for regular trips. There's a bar and restaurant, and you can even see the Northern Lights quite well; the light pollution wasn't as bad as I expected. It's a good place to stay on your last night as it's very close to the airport, which is super convenient.

If you have an early morning flight, this hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Even without a car, it's easy to get around because the hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport. We had rented a car and needed to return it at the airport, so we didn't take the shuttle. Coincidentally, we left for the airport around the same time as the shuttle and arrived around the same time too. If you don't have a car, food options near the hotel are limited, but it's quite convenient if you do have one. Don't expect this hotel to be like the Huazhu Group hotels in China; it's an economical budget hotel. Overall, it's still quite convenient. Parking is free if you're driving yourself. There's also a gas station nearby, which is handy for filling up the tank before returning the car. If you have an early morning flight from Reykjavik, I recommend this hotel.

The quad room features a large bed (1.8m x 2.0m) in the center, flanked by two smaller beds (estimated 1.1m x 2.0m each). The space is quite generous, easily accommodating three 28-inch suitcases opened up.

The room was great, and it's super convenient for the airport, just a five-minute walk away. Highly recommended for early morning flights, though the price was a bit high. Otherwise, no complaints. Facilities: Excellent Cleanliness: Clean Environment: Good Service: Good
