The location is ok , convenient but the hotel parking lot is almost fake. It is impossible to get the lot. You have to find the public lot in the street. And there should make a shower amenities holder.

This room includes access to the hotel’s spa, so you can go for a soak anytime. The spa is quite interesting — it has both indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna. The whole area is very quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, and everything was clean and well maintained. Because of the heavy snow, I had no choice but to stay an extra night and added this room with spa package last minute(last room). When I stayed at the room earlier, I chose a cheaper rate without spa. but honestly it doesn’t matter — you can just add it when you arrive. It costs 3700 ISK per person per stay, and you can use the spa as much as you want. If you’re staying three nights, adding just 3700 ISK for unlimited access is actually a great deal and definitely worth trying. Location is more towards the other end of the main street so expect to walk like 20 minutes to the most interesting part of the city. Right opposite of the hotel is a place with different food stores, is a relatively cheaper (like 3500 isk per set) place to eat. There is a Thai food restaurant too (like 2600-3500 range ...but😅😅😅) Just note that you need to bring your own toothbrush, the soap shampoo is provided and slippers are only available in the spa room which has a bath tub and size a bit bigger.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and the room and towels were very clean. It was super convenient having bus stop #13 for tourists right next to the hotel, and #9 and #12 were only a 5-minute walk away, which was great for local tours. Being at the edge of the city center made shopping easy. The spa was a highlight, with both indoor and outdoor pools, perfect for unwinding. There's also a dry sauna. Just a heads-up, the spa facilities are co-ed, so swimwear is a must.

The hotel is pretty standard, with enough space and it's clean and tidy. They offer free parking, but spots are limited and first-come, first-served. However, the front desk was very helpful and told us about free parking options nearby, which was great. Just a heads up, you'll need to pay a city tax when checking in.

Great location, right by Bus Stop 13, which makes it super convenient for day tours. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and they have a gym and both indoor and outdoor hot springs for relaxation. Breakfast was decent, and there's an authentic Icelandic restaurant right across the street, as shown in the picture.

The location is very good and it takes 3 minutes walking from bus stop #9 to the hotel. Located in the city centre, I can walk to the main street for everything. Very convenient.

The location is super convenient! Bus stop 13 is right downstairs, and you can walk to all the popular areas in the city center. Our room had a view of the cathedral, and the autumn colors in Reykjavik were absolutely stunning. The restaurant was good too!

Great location, right in the city center, convenient for everything. It's on par with domestic budget hotels. The hotel restaurant and bar are good, offering better value for money than the rooms itself. 😊 The front desk can help call a taxi.

The hotel room was clean, but the staff double-charged the deposit, which is something to be aware of.

Loved the hotel so central to sights bars and restaurants. 2 guys is just around the corner and is lovely. Rooms were cozy warm and spacious would 100% stay again.

Good location, decent service, comfortable beds and relatively quiet rooms so overall a pleasant stay at Midgardur. The hotel is well placed for exploring Reykjavik and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The main issue was the minibar setup. Drinks in the fridge have no prices listed, so it’s not obvious that it’s a paid minibar until you see the charge at checkout. To make things more confusing, some drinks placed on the bedside table do have visible prices, which makes it seem like those are the only items for purchase and the fridge items might be complimentary
