Though the price didn't match what I was expecting, overall, it's a great place to go, lovely food, a fantastic staff service and a great entertainment team that are just so fun to be around with! ///////////////////////////////////////

If you expect 5 star hotel , please not book. First - we received wrong room because ladies from reception was thinking that will be better for us. Second- room was from road side, no privacy, no sound proof. Bathroom was looks like 15yars old. After one night we decided to change a room. Other room was in qiuet area but on first floor ( all superiors room should be on graund floor like in advertise said). Also just basic accomodation and poor quality bathroom. When one evening we have an issue with electricity - they move us to next room with cracked wall, shower and sink bad condition. we haven't heard any apologise and any sorry from management staff. Food was almost the same all day. Some meals cold, some partially raw. Clean and restaurant staff really polite but ladies from recepion always look like they are there because they must be there. No areas for non smoking people. Smokers ewerywere on pool area, on antertiment area. Sometimes I start thinking that smokers are treat better in that hotel than non smokers. Entertiment staff - well - they talk and play moustly with German people. Not informed and not asking about activities. Evening shows was good only when someone comming from outside like a cabaret or greek evening. I not expect that will be hotel like a Hilton but 3star is maximum. I have been few times in 3 and 4 stars hotels ant they looks much better than that 5star Lydia Maris Resort and Spa.

Overall a good week, however this is not a 5 star hotel as advertised. On arrival we were greeted by an unhelpful receptionist who gave us no information on where anything was, opening times, towel deposits etc. Even the simplest of questions from us were just met with silence, we were shown to our room, which was back out to the front of the hotel, and to the side of the car park. We had booked a balcony room but had been given an open terrace overlooking the car park and in full view of the road so no privacy at all. The room itself was incredibly basic, what you’d expect from a budget hotel, the blankets provided were so low quality we almost didn’t want to touch it, rough material, almost like a duvet without a cover on. We had only the windows either side of the front door, little to no decoration which made it feel very dark even in the middle of the day. The bathroom was small and grubby, no door on the shower meant that the whole bathroom was soaked every time the shower was used. We enquired at reception the following morning about a change of room as we were very disappointed, however the only other room we were offered was downstairs with no windows, or we could pay more for an upgrade. Again this receptionist was quite rude and didn’t even smile or apologise, just made us feel like an inconvenience. We decided to just move on and enjoy the holiday, which we did. The pool area was nice, but crowded. A lot of cheap sun beds lined up so close together you can’t walk between them. Some activities on offer such as aqua aerobics, water polo and volleyball, not really for kids though as this did get quite full on. Lunch options were the buffet, a Gyros bar or pizza. The lunch and evening buffet was extremely limited in terms of choice, only one or two dishes were changed each day so you really do end up eating the same thing every day. On one night one of the dishes was pork which on one piece was completely uncooked in the centre. A lot of sticky mash potato, hard, stale pasta and unlabelled fish. We were also quite surprised by a sign outside the restaurant that stated if your food isn’t warm enough, then to use the microwave provided. Again, not what you would ever expect to see in a “5 star” hotel. The pool bar staff were excellent, really friendly and quick with the drinks, happy to make changes to the drinks if you ask and even took requests for music. The nearby area has plenty of shops, bars and food places and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. To be completely honest, If we had booked this hotel as a 3 star, we would have been more than satisfied, however the fact it is being advertised as a 5 star is quite frankly outrageous. Having stayed at a true 5 star hotel in Greece last year, the differences are shocking.

I went with my family to this hotel, the reception area looks very fresh and welcoming. I had a standard family room and it was alright, nothing fancy but ok to stay in. My room also had a balcony which was nice to sit out in but didn’t have a rack to dry your clothes like most hotels. I would say the hotel was basic and would not return back here but it wasn’t awful and it didn’t ruin our experience. The pool was small and very tight area space, the food was very boring, breakfast was the best thing with the fresh omelettes, there’s no entertainment, only entertainment was bingo and karaoke but not great for kids. The drinks and alcoholic beverages were very poor quality. The spa is lovely I had a full body massage and it was very relaxing, there is pizza provided during the day and the pizza man is so lovely and hospitable, he let my daughter make a pizza, the cleaning staff were very friendly made the room very clean each day. What is perfect about this hotel is that there is a bus stop right outside that can take you to all your main tourist attractions, if you walk right out of the hotel there are restaurants and kiddie play park which was our entertainment each evening.

The Hotel is clean and tidy throughout and the staff are generally helpful and accommodating. I do however feel the hotel is tired and cramped by todays standards. Note sure it deserves a five star rating. Downsides are: 1. There is only one pool which is tightly surrounded by the sun loungers. 2. One restaurant which serves mainly greek cuisine. 3. The main dining area inside and out is again somewhat cramped. 4. There is one bar out by the pool and limited decent seating 5. The inclusive drinks are weak and local wine is poor at best 6. The evening entertainment is poor. I guess its Ok if you like bingo, karaoke and quizzes. There is no dedicated entertainment area. 7. The Gym equipment is old.

We have stayed in many Greek four and five star tourist hotels, this is an average four star. Our room was large but tired, with plenty of wardrobe space but few shelves. The housekeeping was very good. The dining room is large, we never had to queue. The food was as you would expect in a four star Greek tourist hotel. The pool is a good size surrounded by plenty of sun beds and room to move. Music from one end was very loud and often clashed with music from the bar. The volume was raised during the aqua aerobics. Water polo was also very loud with constant whistling from the umpire. The nearby beach is gritty with a couple of shabby bars. There is a bus stop outside. The journey to Rhodes town takes an hour and costs four Euros. The main shopping street is only a couple of hundred metres away. There are a few restaurants there, good value and nice food but busy and not the traditional Greek experience. Taverna Grigoris, a ten minute walk away, is a pleasant, more traditional restaurant.

We stayed at Lydia Maris Resort & Spa from 23.08 till 06.09. We booked it as a last minute package holiday. I was worried because it was our first trip to Greece. Everything was great. Check-in was quick. Keep in mind that you will have to pay EUR 4 per night at the reception. You can also take a beach towel (10 euro deposit). Towels can be changed every 2 days. It is very convenient. We stayed in the room 810 with a terrace. The location of the room is convenient. Everything is very close: swimming pool, restaurant, reception. There were no issues with the sunbeds. There was no need to get up very early to get them. There was plenty choise of food. Although it was repeated, it was impossible to stay hungry. From 11am till 6pm there was very delicious pizza. 🍕 We went to the beach belonging to the Maryne beach hotel. Renting sunbeds with an umbrella is 10 euros. There is a normal entrance to the sea there... no stones, like at the rest parts of the beach. There is an opportunity to visit mini water park in Irene hotel (15 EUR from 10am till 5:30pm). The hotel staff of Lydia Maris was very friendly, especially Manolis. He always asked how we were going and always smiled. Animation team is amazing! Vlada, Jana, Jacob and the super man from Tunisia. Unfortunately I don't know how to spell his name. They are really great! There are different day activities: water-polo, volleyball, zoomba, stretching. For kids there is a disco every evening. Then show time. There is an opportunity to visit a night club in Rhodes with animators for 25 EUR . Ladies at reception are very helpful. I had a birthday during my stay. The beautiful delicious cake 🎂 waited for me in the fridge when we returned to the room after excursion. I was very pleased. I tried one of spa offers - aloe treatment. It was performed by Danilo, Ukrainian guy. It was good. 20 minutes cost 25 EUR. All inclusive cocktails are not bad. Guys on the bar are always smiling and very friendly. There are premium cocktails for 8 EUR. I enjoyed local vines as well. All in all it was great two weeks!!! Thank you Lydia Maris!!! From Ukraine with love!!! 🇺🇦 Tania and Matvii 💛💙
