Courtyard Richmond Downtown

Nice hotel but location is not very convenient unless you drive. Service is bad. The Asian lady is the best but the rest are unfriendly and unhelpful. Can sense that they had discrimination against Asian guests.

We had an absolutely flawless stay at this hotel! The location in the historic Shockoe Slip neighborhood is perfect. We were able to walk to amazing local restaurants, cobblestone streets, and the beautiful James River canal walks. The hotel itself does a wonderful job of blending modern comfort with the area's historic vibe. Our room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a very comfortable bed and crisp linens. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome from the second we walked through the door, offering great tips for exploring Richmond. Having the Bistro on-site was super convenient for grabbing a quick morning coffee and breakfast before heading out. Whether you are visiting for work or leisure, this hotel is a hidden gem in downtown Richmond. We will definitely be staying here again!

The staff was super mega friendly and professional, the bed was so comfortable I slept like a queen.

The location of this property is pretty great for getting around this part of the city on foot. Our check-in experience was not good. We arrived after 4:30 and they didn't have a room available. We sat in the lobby in front of the front desk for a half hour until I went back up to the front desk to see if we could store our bags only to find that they suddenly had a room ready. The property and staff overall were nice. I recommend parking in the garage across the street (if you don't mind carrying your bags across the street) for $12/night instead of valeting for $44.

It was a very nice stay the only thing I wish they would have had a continental breakfast.

Valet was terrible. I recommend just using the parking garage across the street. Otherwise, food, staff, and building were great!
