This was a last minute change of destination for our group of 13 due to French travel restrictions imposed at short notice. The hotel manager, Florence, was a fantastic host and made us very welcome. The hotel has a very traditional and homely feel which was perfect for the festive season. The staff are very attentive and always smiling, and because it is a small hotel it felt more like a catered chalet with the added benefit of a bar! If we did have any minor issues they were quickly acknowledged and dealt with. The location was ideal for skiing being a short walk from the main gondola, lift pass shop & ski school, and also next door to the ski hire shop and supermarket. Although La Tzoumaz is quiet, it does have some nice bars and the skiing is good for on and off piste. You also have the option of accessing the livelier Verbier and 4 Valleys area via a nice blue run. As a large group we used a variety of rooms from the family room, large doubles and single occupancy. All were satisfied their respective room with ample space and storage. The beds were extremely comfortable after long days on the mountain. Florence (& Simba), thank you again for a very memorable trip which nearly didn’t happen!
