Rio Aeroporto Hotel Galeão

This hotel is very convenient for travelers arriving late or have to wait for family to arrive the next day. The restaurant is great and they have a nice full buffet Brasilian breakfast. I’ve used the hotel several times and will do so again. They also offer a free shuttle from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2

Hotel rooms (mine anyway) were tired and in need of upgrade but served purpose for my trip. Hotel staff pleasant.

Room was near and tidy but lacked any amenities. No kettle or glasses. No filtered water forcing you to buy from the mini bar. The room was quiet but had no view - actually had no windows. Breakfast buffet was actually tasty and enjoyable, with a selection of cold cuts, cheese and sweet bread plus eggs and sausages, juice and coffee. To access the hotel, you can wait for the shuttle bus or walk through Terminal 2 to porta/door A and then down a ramp, a 5 min walk outside along the signed path and into terminal 1. Take a lift to level 3.

The bed sheets were not really clean. In my booking it's supposed to be a window but there was just a wall behind the curtains. No chargers next to the bed. The interior design is old and not renovated. There was no sign of the hotel in the next terminal or any direction instructions. I arrived at night and tried to find this hotel for 40 minutes! In my map it shows in different building next to the airport. I didn't notice any service: the procedure of check-in was kinda long plus queue. Check-out was even funny, they said that i need to wait until they check my mini-bar I guess they think I would lie about not using anything from the fridge. And yes there is not even complimentary bottle of water. Also I want to say that it was very cold at night and my ac didnt work well on heating mode. The bright side is breakfast. Many options and well organized.

It was abit far from the airport we are going to but still not bad.

Quick and easy stay, a bit pricy but probably worth the convenience
