Fantastic hotel! It's right by the sea, just across the road. The lobby is spacious and bright, and the rooms are clean and tidy with a fridge. The breakfast offers a good variety of fruits, and the staff are polite and enthusiastic.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. Otherwise, it was a terrible stay—poor service, unhygienic conditions, and a rooftop pool that was run-down, dirty, and barely usable.

Clean, hospitable, and really good breakfast!! I would recommend this place, especially since it’s so close to the beach as well.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff.  Nice location in Barra.  Housekeeping was not so good though. Floor was not cleaned nor surfaces.  Breakfast is nice but gets very noisy when busy.

We stayed at Windsor Barra and overall were very satisfied with our experience. The hotel has an excellent location: a calm and pleasant area with a beautiful coastline, perfect for walking, swimming, and relaxing away from the crowds. The breakfasts were tasty and varied, with fresh products and good organization. The staff were friendly, polite, and professional, always willing to help. The only downside we noticed — and something worth mentioning — is that the check-in process and any interaction with the front desk took quite a long time. There were frequent queues. Most likely, this was due to the high season during Christmas and New Year holidays. However, the fact that this period is peak season is well known in advance, so the hotel could have increased the number of front desk staff accordingly. In our view, this was not done sufficiently, which resulted in waiting in line for almost any request at reception. Aside from this point, the hotel is a very solid choice and works very well for a relaxed stay by the ocean.

It is the third time we stayed in this hotel, great location and very good breakfast. We were mistreated by the employees at parking sector. They were rude and no respect to the gusts. We complained at front desk but we do not know if actions would take place.

Great staff and location. However the amenities are poor- no coffee machine in room, no iron, no complementary coffee / tea service at reception. The restaurant is overpriced. The decor is tired and dated.

This hotel is a great stay in Barra. Like a lot of hotels in Rio, this one is old. The place has some relics of the last century: the phone is old, the furniture is old, etc. However, it makes up for it in other ways. The service is excellent at this property. The breakfast is very good, the room service is great and cheap, and all of the staff from doormen to bellhops to reception are attentive and professional. The breakfast attendants are more professional than most local waiters. You will get excellent service here. The hotel is also very pretty despite its age. The hallways and lobby are large, and it looks premium. The location is incredible if you like Barra. We only stayed one night, but we had a decent side view of the ocean from our room, and we easily had enough time for a nice walk on the beach before check-out. Windsor Barra Hotel is a great value; stay here if you value service and excellent access to Barra’s beach.
