Hotel Atlântico Rio

Terrible budget hotel. If you can afford a few more dollars, avoid this hole. My air conditioner had issues (couldnt adjust the temp), tv had problems, safe does not work, black mould , a and the care factor from staff was non existent. Bed n pillows not comfy. Location was very good. I am certain these maintenance issues will not be fixed after l vacate yet the hotel will have no issues releasing this room to the next unsuspecting guest as they did to me. Save yourself the horror and headache and stay eleswhere

The economy suit has no window. And there are a lot of noise in the hotel. The room is not clean.

Excellent location and decent breakfast. Just slightly disappointed I was assigned to a room at the basement with no windows. There is a small rooftop pool for sunbathing.

I had a great stay at Hotel Atlântico Rio! They kindly allowed me to check in a few hours early, which made a big difference after a long journey. The staff were warm, helpful, and professional throughout my visit. The breakfast was fresh and satisfying, with plenty of options to start the day right. One of the best parts is the location — just a short walk to Copacabana Beach, perfect for catching the sunrise. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.

Worst hotel I've stayed in my life. Staff look like they could not be bothered with anything. No service at all from the front desk. No one picks up the phone when calling. Room was dirty. Pillows, bedsheets, curtains etc were all stained. Basin was leaking. Rooms did not have ledge to double lock. key cards kept malfunctioning so we had to reset it with the front desk every time we left the room. Elevator takes incredibly long and makes creaking sound as though the last wire would snap and the whole thing would free fall. Breakfast was chaotic, like a market. Food felt like it came out of a military cookhouse. Plates and cups still had remnants of food on them. Lobby was incredibly tiny and packed. Felt like the entrance of a ******* especially with people smoking at the door most of the time. WiFi sucks. Couldn't load emails half the time and forget about anything with photos and videos. Hotel was also extremely strict about check in and check out time. So for the most part of the day, the lobby looks like a gathering place for the homeless. Hotel also charges to keep your luggage for you. This is ridiculous, especially for a hotel that charges USD 50/night and claims to be a 3-4 star property. No way this hotel deserves more than a 2 star. Even that would be a very generous rating. You would be better off with the 3 star IBIS hotel next door.

Good location in Copacabana beach area and near metro station. The reception staff is insufficient, and the service is very slow, resulting in long queues. The hotel, including the rooms, is quite old. The elevator is outdated and very slow, making it time-consuming to use. There is a fee for luggage storage (30 BRL), and bottled water is not complimentary (7.5 BRL/bottle).

The hotel is in a good location with friendly staff. The rooms have most things you would need and the swimming pool is on the roof

This location never disappoints. The location and staff are amazing!
