JW Marriott Hotel Riyadh

Amazing service, with a fantastic concierge team. Business lounge is on par with best in the world. Amazing views from every room. The room service, dining restaurants have several options, all produce great meals. Airport pickup is easy to arrange and tours can be ordered by concierge team. Worthy of the WJ Marriott branding. Its only two years old, an amazing hotel.

I am writing this review to make future visitors aware that the JW Marriot in Riyadh lied to me about laundry charges, removed them from my bill, then went back and charged my credit card without even consulting me. I recently stayed in JW in Riyadh for a business trip in September 2023. I have stayed there in the past with no issues. The hotel is okay in the sense that the rooms are modern and nice, but the service is always below par for Marriot. The reception is not always staffed or there is always a long line (even at hours when there isn't a checkout rush). The staff almost never understands what is going on or how to fix a problem. When you call for room service or anything, it always takes forever or no one responds sometimes. Most recently, I stayed there and got suspicious that my company laundry allowance was not being recorded in my bill (this is before check out). My company prenegotiated rates for my stay at Marriot, so I get two pieces a day for free. I went to discuss the matter of my laundry with someone in the front desk. After the typical waiting and being told they will review it and get back to me (the front desk person just candidly told me he didnt even know how to check in the system), I go back to the front desk and they assure me everything is fine. The guy tells me he verified in the system that I am receiving my company rate and that I will not be charged. Upon check out, there are all these laundry bills and I complain. They go into the system and assure me that they will remove them from the bill. They do so and I pay my bill without the charges and leave, thinking everything is fine. On my flight out of town, I get a random email from the hotel management saying that I owe a laundry balance and so they charged my credit card! I emailed them back explaining the situation, and that I have stayed there before. They said that at the time of booking they put it in the system not as a company rate but personal, and so I had to pay a week's worth of laundry. Without informing me, they just charged my credit card the full amount. No request, nothing, just auto charged it. Obviously I am going to contest it with my bank. Absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't even just go back and fix it; I've literally stayed there a number of times. Not going back again...

Very impressed, stayed one night in a club room on a recent business trip to Riyadh. Check in was swift and friendly, room very good, clean and great decor. Club Lounge also good, I ate both dinner and breakfast in there and was impressed by the quality and variety of food available.

We had a great experience at the JW Marriott Riyadh, we were welcomed with a smile, we received an upgrade for the executive suite. As we walked in there were roses on the table followed by chocolate. John from Housekeeping went above and beyond to ensure we receive all our requests. Bilal was amazing ad well. The entire team was wonderful. Breakfast was rich, they make fresh omelets. The place is neat, well maintained, 7 min far from the boulevard, except night time it is around 20 min due to traffic. It is close to Nakheel mall , kingdom tower and many more everything ranges between 10 to 15 min drive.

JW Marriot in Riyadh selling service as 5 star but in the reality is a 1 star hotel . Worse, rude and unprofessional reception service, restaurant with petulant service and miste of the food a la carte always out of . Never back, never a suggestion

I have been staying in JW Marriott Riyadh with my Husband for at least 2 months now and I can easily say it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in not only in GCC but worldwide. The hotel is really great, the service is even better and the staff is outstanding and super nice. They even look into the smallest details and always aim for customer excellence and satisfaction. Like as an example today I was in the Lounge and they saw me sitting on the chair for. Along time, they got me some cushions to support my back. Last time I was also working on a new online course, the team actually sent me a small gift to wish me good luck in my duties and many much more examples. I would like to highlight that all the team in this hotel is great, but the team in the executive lounge is just outstanding.

Excellent location, great service and very comfortable bed. Showers 🚿 and all room facilities are great. Tried the in room dining and it was good. The only problem was the A/C unfortunately it was terrible. Even maintenance couldn't fix it

The JW Marriott Riyadh is a fantastic property. I stayed here for 3 nights. My SNA cleared and I was upgraded to a one bedroom executive room with a south facing view of Riyadh. The room was incredibly spacious and luxurious and the hotel feels new and polished everywhere, even the corridors are delightful. Complimentary water is available everywhere which is a nice touch. Housekeeping were fantastic offering two visits per day and I didn’t want for anything. I was very impressed by the service levels in the wonderful hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a genuine warmth and welcoming nature with every member of staff that I interacted with. I felt very well looked after and comfortable as a female traveling to this city alone. There are separate men and women’s pool areas. I visited the women’s pool and it was a tranquil oasis on the 6th floor. Again I was very well looked after by the staff at the ladies spa, gym and pool section. Guests can access the spa facilities whcih has a laconium, steam room, sauna and cold plunge pool plus a relaxation area. I enjoyed two treatments at the spa. I had a relaxing facial with Pinkey, who was a great therapist and very warm and friendly. I also had a message the next day with Lovely before my flight who was equally wonderful. They have a full menu of treatments and it is a nice area to relax in. The executive lounge was amazing! This was the best executive lounge that I have visited worldwide. An amazing choice for breakfast and dinner, including at least 3 or 4 main courses. The food was delicious in the lounge and the service very attentive and friendly by all those I interacted with at the lounge. I had breakfast at the Kitchen on 3 on the Saturday morning. Assuming due to the weekend and this was great too. I cannot fault the JW Marriott in Riyadh. It felt like a home away from home and I was very comfortable there. They also have a hotel car that you can use to travel around the city at a charge. I won’t hesitate to visit this jewel in the city of Riyadh when I travel again.
