Fisherman's Landing Inn

From other reviews and descriptions we expected much more What view of fishermen ? It’s a good ten minute walk from the sea. Fisherman are not going to land their nets there ! It’s among housing and industrial estate The hot tub. A fenced off bit of the car park. Wow ! What a disappointment No fridge. Too far out

Surprised at the 3 bubble rating, as this hotel is much better than that. Large, clean, quiet room that had hallway and exterior entrances, contained two double beds. The room appears as if it was updated in the last several years. Nothing fancy but well maintained. It included a tub shower, ironing board, room air conditioner, and coffee maker. The beds were excellent, which has been difficult to find even in upscale properties recently. It is about a 10 minute walk to the harbor where there are several restaurants. We were stranded by Air Canada in Deer Lake, and this was the closest property available on a Saturday night. It was worth the drive, also in a beautiful setting.

Ina answered the phone. From the Hello, I could tell I was talking with a person who enjoyed her job. My husband was traveling alone with a car emergency. When he arrived in Rocky Harbour, he didn't know the location of the motel. He called, and Ina answered the phone. She stayed connected until he reached the destination. Mark really appreciated the help. He also said the room was clean and quiet. I'm sure we will stop there again. Yes, Ina is a reflection of Newfoundland goodness. Thank you.

We loved staying in one of the cottages adjacent to Fisherman's Landing Inn. The cottage was either newly built or recently renovated. It had everything we needed for a pleasant 3-day stay. It was not right in town, but that made the place a lot quieter. It wasn't far, though, so took a nice walk on the trail along the brook. The sunset was fantastic from the waterfront. The cottage was a great place to rest after a full day of hiking! We would definitely return!

Good spot for a reasonable meal. The food was good quality and we would return. Some of the staff are very entertaining. You feel very welcome here. They have pizza and soft serve ice cream in addition to the usual fare. Pan fried Cod was a fave here!

Close to highway and town. Clean utilitarian rooms. Access from interior and exterior doors , which was handy. Breakfast offered sometimes, but no schedule posted. No views of water / mountains. Free use of washer and dryer - very handy for a long trip. Related to the downtown restaurant.

Stayed here for a couple nights while hiking in Gros Morne. Room was clean and well looked after. Service at the front desk was helpful. Room access to the hallway but also directly outside to our car was very helpful for packing. Sadly the hot tub wasn’t functioning when we were there. Hot breakfast at their restaurant was delicious. Slightly off the main street away from some of the restaurants but everything was a 2min drive. Overall a very solid place to stay while in Rocky Harbour. Would stay there again.

We stayed at the fisherman's landing inn and absolutely loved it! We also ate at their restaurant several times during our weekend in rocky harbour and would highly recommend both places! Great service and great prices! The view from the restaurant is amazing !
