Cotton Bay Hotel

We came here with family and had an overall decent stay. You might enjoy it if you don’t know better. The place itself is beautiful, but it lacks the warmth and charm one would hope for. Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected our experience. The rooms had ants, and the toiletries provided were quite insufficient — for example, only one small shampoo for long hair. The dinner menu felt repetitive, despite being presented under different fancy names each day. On one occasion, when we arrived a bit later for dinner, there was no dessert left. The service also fell below standard. While the staff were polite, there was little effort to go the extra mile or make guests feel truly cared for.

Me and my wife have been here 9 years ago for our haneymooom. Glad to back with our 2 lovely daughters. We had a lovely stay. Welcoming was excellent whereas food at the buffet was truly amazing. Grateful fo4 chef rusel who took great care for our kids meal Room cleaniness and amenities was good. Constructive feedback _ lack of genuine communication among waitstaff at the buffet. I think with continuous training all will be sorted

Check-in worst Got my room 14hr40 I was exhausted with my 2 kids( a baby of 4 months) Housekeeping lady was cleaning when i entered my room. No proper check-in information was provided! DO NOT DISTURB SIGN BOARD WAS NOT PROVIDED!!! TV REMOTE NOT PROVIDED ! CHARGED FOR THINGS FRIM MINIBAR THAT I DIDNT EVEN CONSUMED! WHEN I REQUESTED FOR A LATE CHECK OUT AS I WAS GIVEN MY ROOM VERY LATE AND WITH GREAT DISAPOINTMENT,STILL MY REQUEST WAS NOT CONSIDERED!!! MY ROOM WAS SMELLING BAD AND I HAD TO STAY IN THAT ROOM THE WHOLE NIGHT!! Room full of dust!!! Leaving this hotel with a very bad experience. The only thing good in the hotel was the food(atleast 1 good thing).

Overall, the hotel is good. The staff are friendly, and the location is also convenient, being approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport. The food is satisfactory. However, the hotel would benefit from improved pest control measures.

My stay at Coton Bay Hotel in Rodrigues was truly a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from everyday stress. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Thank you to everyone for this wonderful time.

Had such a beautiful and peaceful stay at Cotton Bay Hotel 🤍🌴 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine—setting the tone for the whole trip. The room was lovely, clean, and super comfortable, making it easy to fully relax and switch off. The service was top-tier throughout, with a team that’s not only professional but always smiling and attentive. The buffet was honestly divine—fresh, local products and so much variety… every meal felt like a treat. A special mention to William, who made discovering the island such a great experience—an amazing guide! And big up to Anaïs at the restaurant for always looking after us and keeping our table ready, Stéphane for the great service, and Rijobers Larose—the absolute king of omelettes in the morning 👑🍳 Overall, an unforgettable stay filled with peace, good vibes, and genuine hospitality. Definitely a place we’d come back to!

We went to the restaurant and ordered a few things, and here's what my family and I thought: the food was quite pricey in general. We ordered the langoustine, the grilled fish, a chicken pizza, and a tandoori grilled chicken. The seafood was fine, but the chicken was raw inside, so we had to send it back, and even then it was still quite disappointing. And the pizza was also not so great. Dry chicken, and a doughy crust. Not such a great value for money and it's better to order only seafood dishes. Quite the disappointing experience in our case.

I have visited this hotel before, prior to the recent re-vamp. My opinion is …. excellent overall, lovely welcome at reception when you arrive, while you check in your offered a cool drink to start your stay. The room we were in was exquisitely decorated, and was spotless clean. We were only staying two nights so we didn’t get to enjoy the activities that were posted daily. I’m did make use of the infinity pool that looks out onto the beautiful Indian Ocean. Our stay was on a half board basis. The evening meals were excellent, however, the breakfast spread was a little disappointing, with a limited choice of food out. But even so, I would still strongly recommend staying at the Cotton Bay Hotel. This isn’t a criticism, but maybe the management could look into towel management like in a lot of European hotels. If you want fresh towels in the room every day, get guest to leave them in the shower tray. If they don’t, just hang the towels up. This could save water usage (which I know is an issue on Rodrigues). And also reduce your laundry bills, I’m sure it would cost you much to implement such a plan. It would also boost your ‘eco credentials’
